you so much as give an opinion on a fighter these days you get called a hater..
it's these dumb little preteens who call everyone haters for little or no reasons.
deep down inside i just laugh because i know they will get nowhere in life.

We should all be a little more tolerant and tactful. We can still be critical of fighters and / or their supporters, but keeping it realistic and under control would be a good thing. Just my opinion.

OK, so Queensdawg, you say you despise Calzaghe and his supporters. That's fine, it's your choice, but I think if I was to sit in a room and have a conversation with you, you wouldn't hate me at all. If you are at all a balanced person, you would see I am a reasonable person who gets along with anyone and everyone, given a chance.
There are different schools of thought on this. Only a certain type of individual gets upset to hear their favorite celebrity getting bashed by another fan. Take me for example; I don't give a **** ass if someone hates my preferred _________. It means absolutely nothing to me. Nothing.

I find it bizarre, pathetic, disturbing, and otherwise lame. But that's me..

        1) I refrain from posting
        2) I change my post to make it as objective as possible without insulting the fighter.
        3) I just insult the ball-licker

dominating, flamboyant p4p kings (such as pea, rj, pbf) are in general more hated (with or without fans), just because they are on top and they make it look too easy.
Excellent post. I'd like to try harder to live up to that standard. The worst thing you can lose is your objectivity.

In general, the hate you see on here comes from fanboys being annoying.
This leads people to bash on the targeted fanboy's favorite fighter, as a pathetic attempt at "owning" or prove that particular fanboy wrong, or even try to display that fanboy as ******.

It's very easy to differentiate the kids from adults on here.

No reasonable adult human being will start to bash on a fighter to try to hurt a poster.
Only kids do that, kids who don't have the intellect to take up a discussion with the target they have.

A normal adult person will say things like "Hopkins won that fight, I can't believe boxing has lowered itself to this amateurish standard."

A kid will say "****ing Slapzaghe, he slaps, slaps, slaps, slaps, end of round."

I had intended to write some intelligent **** to explain the psychology, but I don't have the patience. Too boring.

What I say will fall to deaf ears anyways

People hate because when you are on the bottom people can't help to bring you up, but once you reach there they can't help but bring you down. It's human nature.

The craziest is when you read some poster calling a fighter a coward... a coward? Most likely it's a guy who sparred more hard rounds than the the number of craps the poster in his life. Ran more miles than the poster ate junk food. And so on... A coward?

Indeed. Cowards wouldn't even lace up a pair of gloves in the first place, they'd just beat up an old granny and steal her purse instead, then go home and beat their dog up.
