Yea P4P Cotto definitely has a more vicious body shot than BHop. Again, are we basing this off Oscar getting KO'd by BHOp's body shot? I don't see how BHop has had the same effect on any other fighter with his body punches like Cotto has meaning in terms of the outcome of the fight.

i dont dispute that back in the day hopkins was way better puncher than he is today. on his way up he brawled like a true Philly fighter. but 156 pound version that clocked oscar has nothing on cotto's body attack. if it was cotto who hit him to the body that night, oscar would need a new liver.

btw manchine you also voted in my other thread that forbes would upset oscar by ko. did you seriously feel that way, or you were just generous towards the underdog?

You always got to go with the underdog in the most unpredictable fashion possible so you can say 'I told you so!' after the fight like Teddy Atlas does.

Is it really even possible? Forbes has 33 wins, 9 knockouts and he is a former 130 lb champion who looked small against light welterweight Demetrius Hopkins.
Imagine how small he looks against De La Hoya.

all right, i like that attitude, but atlas' fight predictions are some of the worst ive seen. but i know what you mean, forbes is not your average underdog, he's a character out of those rocky movies. im pretty positive that oscar will win, but ill be rooting for forbes

Exactly. 90% of the time Teddy Atlas is completely wrong about his predictions but when he gets one right, he will let you know about it.

Steve Forbes has no chance. He will never win a decision against De La Hoya and a Forbes KO is surely impossible (with 9 knockouts to his credit)... that's why I'm picking him to win.

              some quotes from

"Cotto doesn't have power like that where he is gonna floor Oscar de la Hoya who has never been hurt other than by Bernard hopkins"

so apparently no one except for bernard has hurt oscar, and kds early in his career are fictional

              "he didn't dominate Zab" LMFAO

"And Winky Wright hurt Taylor and had him on ***** street, huh? and tito doesn't really have a chin but has only KOed once by the executioner. WOW!!" so apparently he think that tito got a chin of la motta and chuvalo

i never was arguing who is the better body puncher currently. what I'm trying to tell u is simple. Cotto doesn't have Bernard power. For whatever reason you want to say why, whether it be size or whatever. Point is Cotto don't got Bernard power. It took Bernard power to KO Oscar to the body, therefore Cotto will not be able to Ko oscar because he doesn't have Hopkins size or power.

That is my argument, do I sound like troll or do sound logical?

Keyword being hurt, meaning can't cont. And u didn't say winky wright hurt taylor. I think u equate being hurt with your face being swollen.

it was a direct question to which the answer was pretty obvious and you got i said from the begining that cotto punches harder to the body than hopkins does and you pretty much know the answer you gave me.

                      boxing prospect:

you make it sound like he destroyed those guys. you make too big of a deal of that first round in the calzaghe fight. it was a surprise punch followed by hopkins motioning his body forward, calzaghe was NOT hurt, either in the first round, or the rest of the fight. hopkins hurt taylor? yes, in the first fight, dont remember which round but i think 8 or 9th, but so what, winky wright hurt taylor worse than hopkins did.
