Here's some stats for you. I counted the clinches playing the video at 2x speed (it's hard work watching this snoozefest) but the numbers should be accurate. There were quite a number of times Hopkins tried to hold but failed. These failed attempts are, of course, not counted. Near the end of round 11, Hopkins tried to bait Calzaghe into a brawl, so Calzaghe came forward... and they clinched. LOL.

Some were but Hopkins was the only one trying to actually fight and land clean punches and not just rack up points by throwing volumes of non devastating shots, well outside the low blow.

yea he clinches a lot. i just watched the bika fight and he clinched 185 times. whenever he's in there with someone who can lay hands on him he always clinches.

calzaghe only landed like 10 clean punches in the entire fight. its hilarious. some idiot will count how many clinches but refuses to count how many punches calzaghe landed and last i checked you score fights on clean punching not clean clinching.

Actually I remember someone took the time to watch many rounds in slow motion and basically disproved compubox's numbers. They guy even posted screen shots. I don't think he did it for the entire fight but a few rounds calzaghe was credit for say 15-20 punches when in reality he landed like 3-5.

If I'm ever bored out of my mind and have a lot of pain killers I might just do it myself one day. But probably not. lol
