Winky's too inactive to be in there. Floyd's not far behind him either, even though he shouldn't get dropped altogether. Vasquez deserves to be higher up than Bernard. If Pavlik fights 2 bums in a row this year while the other guys are doin serious business he should get lowered too, but his spot's cool for now.

I got Ivan at #10. His win over Cazares is the biggest win of his career, but having moved from being the man at 105 to being the man at 108 is still good enough for me to put him at #10. We all know he has the skills.Comment

1. Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0)
Do you think if Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito hooked "Money" up with free ringside tickets he would dare show his face when they meet this summer? Once he gets through with Oscar De La Hoya in a probable Sept. 20 rematch, the mandate will be for Mayweather to fight the Cotto-Margarito winner. If he doesn't, we'll have to re-evaluate his No.1 ranking because you can't just sit on it forever.
Next: TBA.
2. Miguel Cotto (32-0)
Cotto went through Alfonso Gomez of "The Contender" fame like a hacksaw cutting through a melon. The pride of Puerto Rico scored three knockdowns in a devastating sixth-round TKO performance on April 12 to set up a summer HBO PPV showdown with Antonio Margarito in a fight that could be a classic. Let's start counting the days.
Next: July 26 vs. Margarito.
3. Antonio Margarito (36-5)
On the Cotto-Gomez undercard, Margarito captured another belt with an overwhelming assault on Kermit Cintron, finally knocking him out in the sixth round with a heavy body shot. It was almost as one-sided as Margarito's 2005 domination in their first encounter. Now it's on to a must-see fight against Cotto. That's going to be spectacular.
Next: July 26 vs. Cotto.
4. Shane Mosley (44-5)
If Mosley takes care of Zab Judah in their upcoming HBO PPV fight, he's the logical opponent for the winner of Cotto-Margarito if Mayweather ducks the fight.
Next: May 31 vs. Judah.
5. Carlos Quintana (25-1)
After whipping Paul Williams to take his belt in February, Quintana will face him again in a contractual rematch that it is hard to get excited about. It will be on the same Showtime card as Vernon Forrest's junior middleweight defense against Sergio Mora.
Next: June 7 vs. Williams.
