But what you all forget to mention is that Margarit is tooooo slow for Mayweather.

Margarito is slower then this monster who fought Captain Kirk

Speed has nothing to do with it timing can over come that and so can just letting your hands go, and he cant be that slow if he is throwing nearly 100 shots per round so you might want to re think that idea.

He is so slow and he isn't very accurate. Cotto is much more accurate puncher which is why he defeated guys like Quintana, Malinaggi and Mosley who are all faster then him.

Margarito barely handled Clottey and Williams. The guy needs to try to avenge some of the losses he has on his record. He hasn't avenged even one loss yet.

This is exactly what you dont understand, and this is exactly what I mean when it comes to people who think they know the sport but really dont.
Look if you read my break down earlier in the thread you would know exactly why Margarito gives Floyd the fight of his life perhaps the beating to go along with it.
Cottos style is better suited for Floyd because Cotto throws lazer straight shots. as to which Margarito fires from all angles with looping shots and straight shots, meaning when Floyd attempts to do is slip duck and roll on the ropes he gets caught by Margaritos looping shots becuase Floyd like Jones makes one mistake on them ropes, he pulls his had straight back its there to be hit by a guy like Tony.
if this fight ever happens you better be round these parts no matter how disliked you are here becuase I can promise you this Margarito isnt Ricky Hatton he isnt De La Hoya he isnt Castillo or Baldimor or Judah.
and speaking of.... you do realize that Floyd won his fight with DLH by the smallest Margin possible.

Naa he's not that slow lol. He's quick enough and you can beat speed with timing, relentless preasure, an excellent chin and power. tho it will be, obviously hard as hell against a fighter like Mayweather

You need to check yourself before you speak about others boxing knowledge. All I see from you is overrating Margarito and having too much faith in his abilities. That faith in him doesn't come from facts. What I see is facts. Fact is, he barely dealt with the speed of Clottey. Clottey was counter punching him for 4 rounds straight and then broke his hands and went on the defensive.

Floyd has better foot speed then Clottey and is much more accurate, has better defense and would take Mararito to school for the full 12 rounds.

I'm thinkin Kessler vs Andrade-esque type of performance.

Clottey: Clottey did put up a good fight until the last third of the fight of which he quit basicly, and yeah he said he broke his hand after the fight true, but in his next fight against Corrales Clottey said NO he did not break his hand and that he had nothing more than a bruised knuckle, this was aired on Showtime during an interview just moments before he walked to the ring to fight the late Corrales. HOWEVER everybody seems to forget that Tony had a broken wrist and a sprained ankle for that fight somehow he chose not to quit I guess I wouldnt say everybody just the Floyd boys seem to forget this kind of ****.

                Williams:
good fighter and it was a good performance from Paul, I cant hate, However what you did see from Tony in that loss, was that he limited Paul to only 200+ shots landed after throwing 1200 (I guess there goes your threory of Margarito not having a defense huh?) The fight was there for Margarito but he let one too many rounds go early.
Then again still in that fight Margarito was able to land just as many shots while throwing fewer, so that means not only does Margarito have a good defense he also has good timing and accuracey, but like I said when it comes to people like you, the hate is so much that you are willing to lie every chance you get.

Broken hand or not he was hurting and stopped doing what was working for him the first 4 rounds. Margarito didn't get to him or anything, he just stopped working and went on retreat mode. Margarito still couldn't land anything but managed to outwork him.

It was Clottey's to win and he blew it.......Margarito had nothing to do with it. Fighters like Floyd would have adjusted even with a broken hand and managed to win but Clottey is no Floyd.

You can keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

Margarito doesn't have a good defense and neither does Paul williams. Yet Paul looked like a slick boxer in there in the 12th round owning Maragarito even though he isn't as it showed against Quintana. That's how terrible Margarito is, that a guy who isn't even a good boxer outboxes him and looks like Sugar Ray Leonard in there. Too bad Paul Williams isn't a accurate puncher but more of a workrate type or else that so called "defense" of Margarito's that you speak off would have been exposed even more.

                    .
So you think that none of those body shots margarito clipped him with had anything to do with it? get ****ing real YOU are just a hater your not a fan of the sport your a fan of who you like PERIOD. you have no idea what your talking about, and the proof is in the fact that you avoided the fact that during the Clottey Margarito fight Margarito broke his wrist and had a ****ed up ankle as well did he stop? NO you know why? becuase he wanted to be the champion thats why.
