Apparently Floyds team doesn't realize that EVERY Puerto Rican on the planet with a few very small exceptions are Miguel Cotto fans. That's your draw right there. I've said it before 100 times - especially for the unspoken rivalry that exists between African American men and Puerto Rican men. Leading up to the Shane Mosley VS Miguel Cotto fight the only discussion I heard day in and day out in the barbershops and bodegas around the way were between black and spanish men arguing who was going to win the fight. This fight would be bigger than Oscar VS Floyd and bigger than Hatton VS Floyd without a doubt. The population of the Bronx itself is 1,000,000+. More than 50% of that number is Puerto Ricans and we're talking a few square miles here. I'm not saying that's a million guaranteed PPV buys but for example when Felix Trinidad fought Delahoya I thought the walls of the building I was in were going to come down. You could hear people flipping out three floors down and four floors up. Same thing happened when Felix Trinidad fought Bernard Hopkins. When Puerto Rican fighters reach the Felix Trinidad level which Miguel Cotto has definitely already done fighting on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day Parade three years in a row - humongous PPV numbers are guaranteed especially when you put them in front of whoever is considered to be #1 at the time. Team Mayweather is scared of the risk involved - the Floyd boys will deny it but it's plain and basic common sense. I'm not saying I would go about it any differently if I were in Floyds shoes you obviously want to milk the cow as long as you can - but for having ducked Williams and Margarito he has three times as many people calling for his head at this point. Notice nobody even on these forums is discussing Mayweather/Oscar: Reloaded - it's a wasted fight. Everyone wants to see Mayweather put to the test not on some grand stage again so he can fox trot with The Golden Ploy.
I rest my case.
