Exactly! All of this "so-called" waiting for Cotto's stock to rise even higher talk, might actually backfire on Floyd if Cotto were to lose to Margarito. On top of that, we all know that Floyd doesnt even feel comfortable being in the same building as Margarito, let alone fight him!

Surely every investor knows that investments are ranked. The one with the most money is taken.Dont even talk about the risk because Floyd is not looking at it that way.He aint scared of cotto and he mentioned it.He once said 'Cotto knows he cant beat me.He thinks pressure is the way to beat me'

the reason Floyd is not fighting Cotto at the moment is because there are more rewarding fights now than Cotto.Cotto is not even a risk its just that what he brings is very little compared to what Flod will get fighting Oscar

I'm sure they are. Which would be a good enough reason for him to hold off the fight (in terms of the money). Miguel is a rising star, **** he's already a star. But to the general public (ESPN viewers mainly) he's not a well known name. I know boxing isn't about name recognition and money, at its essence. But realisticly it's a business. I'm sure Floyd's next fight with Oscar will generate around the same type of money. Floyd is trying to maximize the amount of money he can make a this point. Call it cowardly or not but he's making sure he gets all he can out of the sport money wise. I think after his fight with Oscar and Hatton they will probably fight.

By that time Miguel will have schooled Marg in a 12 round boxing lesson. And maybe beat another name opponent by moving up to 154.

Ok before Oscar ,Floyd didnt sell as much but now he is so whats wrong with him making as munch money as he can.Floyd has 2 big money fights thats why Ellerbe says at the moment Cotto is not important to them.He didnt say Cotto is not a good fighter. He only explained why they dont want Cotto at the moment.
The Oscar fight soldout within 3hrs,has any Oscar fight ever sold out in such a short time before.Hatton's previous fight had not sold out like that so Floyd had a part.
Cotto is a great fighter but at the moment numbers dont add up
I don't disagree with you that the fight will be bigger, but after margarito cotto would have beat everyone there is to beat, and some of the people that floyd should have beat, im just showing some of the contradiction to ellerbe's comments.

Bottom Line: Floyd wont fight a TOP welterweight in their prime.

The bottom line is Floyed wont fight a TOP welterweight in their prime. Leonard Ellerbe is just a soft scrub riding Floyd's nuts and catering to his every whim.

But then as long as Floyd has bigger fights that fight will never happen, cotto might need to fight Oscar as well to generate numbers and put him in the same league as Floyd.he needs to talk about hatton as well,he has never pushed to have a Hatton fight. It seems like cotto has only pushed for Mayweather.Cotto Hatton will bring money and numbers.

There are many options for him.If his team is good they will land him fights

The time you are talking about when Floyd's draw was like Cotto's draw is two years ago.Ever since Floyd has been on a different level
                      Needs to position himself?

Should he wear a clown suit and do the hokey pokey while screaming, "Floyds a scared ******!"

Floyd OWES Cotto the fight being that he ducked Margarito.

But either way - once Cotto smashes Tony there will be no place for him to hide.
