Ivan Calderon has a bigger chance of facing Floyd than Cotto, after Floyd retired he was called the best pure boxer in the game, hey there's a reason for Floyd to make this fight.

when you get to floyds level of the game you don't fight for bragging rights.. what is cotto's legacy at 147 what has he done in that division to be considered a bigtime fighter.

cotto was on the rioght path but the wins against zab and shane were all smoke and mirrors lets see what cotto can do against mosely in the rematch and then you can start talking like cotto is a force at 147 because right now he isn't

Cotto at least has a legacy at 147; I can't say the same for Floyd.

That's the point. Floyd needs legacy fights at 147. Below 147, yeah, he is a great fighter. The only person he has at 147+ is Oscar at 154.

And if it is not about legacy and all about the money...like I said; I'm cool with it. I might not totally agree with it, but that is life and he is free to do that.

However, him bringing up his status as an ATG and his title belts in each division, brings down his ability to fight only for money.

Is some of the responcibity on Cotto to make the fight? Everyone talks about what Floyd has/has not done to make. Mosley is pursuing a fight with Floyd actively at this point. Is Cotto? Has Cotto ever? Its a two way street and I really would like to see this fight but in order for it to happen Cotto will have to show some interest since Floyd at this point is considered the bigger draw. BOTH Floyd and Cotto rarely say each others name without it being forced by an interviewer.
