Anybody is a puncher in MMA. Imagine a natural puncher like Cintron, landing a flush shot on a guy in MMA with 4 ounce gloves??? You think ANYBODY would be concious after that?

The guy would take him down and submit him in about 20 seconds, Cintron has no experience in that.

Not just the gloves though.

Some of them through these wide looping dangerous hooks that you can't throw in boxing because you'll get picked off in a heart beat. These guys are watching for knees, kicks, elbows and everything so the defense isn't always what it should be. I've seen plenty of dudes get CRUSHED by some punches that had a 20 second relay on them. Like you could see the turn, then the hip, then the shoulder - and dudes still couldn't get out of the way. LOL.

MMA is a lot different then High school wrestling. It would still only take him so far (which I doubt is that much).

They are talking about defending a takedown. Cintron could work on takedowns and try to keep fights standing at all costs.

MMA? Yeah right, he'll do better in commentating or even customer service, b/c his days in contact sports are over! I know y'all are going to say: What, R U Crazy? He was beaten by one guy (x2) & you think he's done? U don't know anything about boxing, he's gotten wayyy better under stweard's privelage, blah, blah, blah...

I 4 1, NEVER question a man's heart or desire for getting in the squared circle, BUT I call it like I see it! Cintron has no HEART, he folds under pressure, quick to retreat, RARELY standing his ground! MENTALLY he's it's about the same; in once "big" shots don't have an immediate affect on his opponent and/or his original game plan goes out the window...he panics (similar to Zab)

Hmm, so you asking him to go into a sport where most of the guys are tough, hard nosed, in your face, pressure style fighters? As long as they could take Cintron's shot, it's a STRONG possibility that Kermit would lose... They say this guy is a athlete, but where is his so called athletic ability & coordination? I don't see it, maybe i'm missing something...Wrestling may be his background, but against those KILLERS in the MMA -- where it's pretty much anything goes -- he'll might have success against lower ranked fighters, but GUARANTEE if they were to put him in against someone with a "PULSE" they would have him on the ground screaming for his life!
