The fighter who most embodies what a boxer should be...

To you, who would it be?

I have a very very very easy decision to make as to who it is for me:

Erik Morales. Not even a question. Currently, it would be Miguel Cotto in my opinion.

Glen Johnson would seem to fit that description. He is always in shape, fights hard everytime, and has never been known to turn down a challenge.

Answers will definately vary because some people appreciate brawls, some people like chess matches, some like defense, some like offense, etc.

For me I'd have to say guys like Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins for their incredible defense, underrated punching power, ring generalship, entertaining pre-fight antics and good chins.

For more offensive minded fighters I really like Paul Williams & Manny Pacquiao.

It's really tough to just pick one.

That's why I thought it would make a good topic. While Erik Morales isn't the most exciting fighter (he comes damn close though) he gets the nod from me because of his level of skill that he shows in fights.

Someone who appreciates brawls and toe-to-toe might be inclined to pick Jorge Arce, Antonio Margarito or Glen Johnson.

Someone who appreciates artistry in the ring might pick Mayweather or Pernell Whitaker.

There is no such thing as a wrong answer here. ****, even Cory Spinks could be a correct answer. That dude really does know how to win fights with what he has. That guy would be one of the last people I would expect to be sucessful as a professional prizefighter.
