You have obviously gone over the top and made exaggerated claims to prove your point. You even said you scored the fight 116-113 yet this article sounds like Hopkins was the one who got knocked down in the first round. What happened was this: Joe won by the standards of most judges and apparently most of the boxing public (simply more activity and being the "aggressor"), however Bernard won by the standards of a lot of judges, most boxers and a decent amount of boxing fans (landing harder, more effective punches as opposed to amateur and Olympic style taps that count for 1 point just like a knockdown in that scoring system). CompuBox is not God and has shown to be flawed in the past and you must be smoking something if you quote and follow Joe's 189 to 111 power punches. Just because a punch is powerful relative to a tap, doesn't mean it's a power punch. How do you determine how many punches land when Joe throws a combo of 10 in two seconds and Bernard retaliates with 3 or 4? They freaking guess! Make an estimation! Looked like 4 landed for Joe and 1 landed for Hopkins. Bernard didn't get hurt, Joe didn't really get hurt. Bernard did get hit with a low blow, but definitely milked it for rest. But can you blame a 43 year old man. And isn't that a smart thing to do if you were him and truly were tired? I didn't say "brave" or "manly", I said "smart" and completely within the rules.
      exactly right man.

It certainly shows that people have different likes and dislikes when it comes to judging.
Bernard did very well for a fighter of his age, he said he busted Joe up, but, apart from one tiny cut on his nose, Joe was blemish free. If you are landing shots that are that much more hurtful than your oponent then surely that should slow the opponent down, Calzaghe accelerated in the later rounds.... no Jumbo sunglasses needed the next day to hide the 'cleaner shots' that landed

That's what I saw too. Some 'legendary' acting too to go with the running backwards.

Finally some1 who cuts it down the middle. I was never a Joe Calzaghe Fan and I don't even think he's that great. But to say it like it is B-Hop is a joke. The 10th round is all that you need to know. Yes, he's 43 years old and people celebrate it, and you should do, not everybody gets 43 years old. But we're talking boxing here. Man against Man. If 43 is too old, then go get retired. This fight should have never happened, if now the thing is, well he's 43 years old.

Like I said before, Hopkins is not a hall of famer IMO because of his ability, he's one because of his title reign. His ability could never overcome his inability. He make everyone look bad, but he does not do it by creating something... he's only destroying in the ring. And if fighter like Roy Jones would have fought in his career like B-Hop. Do you think anyone would have looked against Roy Jones??? Roy can run also, punch once and grab.

The bad thing is how people defend him. It was a smart thing *laughter* It's that what you guys taugh your kids. Go act like a *****. Take the easy way out. Talk loud, be ignorant, and if comes down to being a man act like a woman. I mean this **** was so bad and so unsportsmanlike, I probably never seen anything like it. You could really thing he got an combo of Tyson downstairs. He's a joke... and there's writer here on boxing scene who had an article, why Joe should fear Hopkins. It was kinda like B-Hop is too much man, funny ****. He's *****, and people should remeber him for that.

He never beat anyone who I would consider to be hall of fame like. I'm talking about people who would be champions if there were only one beld in every division. Trinidad is good against people who bring the fight to him, but he would loose against every real good boxer of the past, because he can't box. DLH was not his weight and I also don't consider DLH as HOF. JT a lot of talent, but no brains I forgot he lost against him. Who has he fought... Roy Jones and lost. Hopkins is a joke and the fight proved it to me. Yes, he was better then I thought, but doesn't change the fact, that he's joke.

The result of that fight was bull****, anyone worth a damn knows it. If Joe Calzaghe beat Hopkins then Sam Soliman beat Winky Wright.
