Common lets be neutral here. Hopkins was right there until the last round. His defense was great but he lacked the offense of a more skilled fighter.

This fight showed just how aweful Joe looks against a great fighter, even a aged one. RJJ has way better offense and will make Joe look even more amateurish and by landing much better eye catching punches then Hopkins did, he will beat Joe Calzaghe.

None of that sloppy slapping **** will work against RJJ.

Are you new to boxing? Lacy fought Manfredo without recovering from a rotator cuff injury and after being mentally demolished by Calzaghe. You have to give credit to Lacy for the fact that he is a warrior.

The docs said they have no idea how Jeff fought with that injury. Brave isn't the word.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course. I just happen to disagree with it. First of all Joe didn't look awful fighting Hopkins. He was just doing what he always does.

I think we will see Joe frustrating RJJ into the later rounds wherein RJJ will run out of gas. Joe will then take control of the fight. RJJs only chance is to catch Joe early with a KO or at least badly hurt him. In all probability, this will not happen because Joe is elusive and has a great chin.

But, I will say that the fight would be worth the purchase.

Tell us who, apart from Jones Jr and possibly Winky Wright, has looked good fighting Hopkins. Gimme some names.

Now that Calzaghe has beaten Kessler and Hopkins, there is no doubt who is the best. Roids Jones, Jr. dodged Calzaghe all those years ago for good reason. He was afraid he would get beat. 45-0, 32 KOs. Calzaghe was always the best. He's a great fighter.
I guess he's unstoppable since he hasn't lost...

He looked like SRL when he was outclassing Lacy.

And he looked like Kassim ouma vs Taylor when he fought Hopkins.

That's a better arguement than Lacy.

Seriously, who doesn't look bad against Hopkins?

Nobody looked as amateurish as Joe.

Hey Wiley , about time you finally found your way back to the board from your journey to Hatton wonderland , its been months , I see you jumped on the Super Joe train , you should be careful making ridiculous statements untill Joes is retired , you might end up in self imposed exile again .
