offensively, I think eubank has and will always be the tougher fighter offensively for joe. Though Hopkins will always have his head and his annoying clinches.

oh...so he would be in the middle of his prime in the Mitchell fight then. personally, I think he looked his best against Kessler.

honestly, I was kind of surprised that Hopkins didnt headbutt more. he didnt do it near as dangerously as I had thought he would. I thought he was going to split Calzaghes eye open like he did to Winky, especially cause Calzaghe seemed unnerved by it when it happened against Bika.
Hopkins was actually not as bad a fouler as he usually was. thank goodness.

He did try other cheating tactics lets not forget though. I think people and the ref, were too aware of the butt, hence him trying low blow claims, delaying so he can catch his breath, fighting after the bell and more.

i think the Hopkins that beat Trinidad would have beaten any version of Calzaghe ,that version of Hopkins would have done exactly the same things he did against Calzaghe the other night and but would have been able to sustain it throughout and not fade in the middle rounds

It's difficult, I'm not even sure.

I was watching Joe Calzaghe vs Charles Brewer and I thought the Joe that fought Kessler would **** that Joe.

The Joe that was fighting yeah Mitchell, Mgertchain and Veit would have given himself all he could handle, his superior punching power would clinch the fight against himself....

I guess the only one who knows the answer to this question is Calzaghe. I thought that Mitchell punch was a great punch, and it's not like Joe isn't still open for it. The difference now is Joe has more composure but whether that carries greater significance that much better punching power is difficult.
