British Joe fan, but he still lost!

After watching it for the second time and without the misguided effects of loads of booze I had B-Hop just edge the fight, I thought B-Hop was the far more effective fighter and dominated most areas of the fight and landed the cleaner punches, I thought Cortez had a stinker and the Judge who had it by the wide margin in favour of JC should never Judge another fight.
I am sure B-Hop will come back from this as he is in incredible shape and looked like he still had plenty to offer.

    Good post. Joe was unimpressive.

Incredibly, your judgment and comprehension seem more effective when you are menatlly impaired and under the influence of a narcotic. This has to be a medical "first". You should get yourself checked out.

You may be the only specimen known to science whose motor skills perform better while intoxicated?

HaHA.. You should check my pulse rate and see my pupils when I watch these fights. Everything is in slow motion for me. My adrenaline is pumping.. I need to ease off a little bit or my health will start to decline. I haven't touched a drink in 6 months myself.. I'm dangerously sober these days.

Yeah, that's about right, Mace. The majority of media professionals sitting ringside - outside of HBO's favorite judges/usual suspects - scored it in favor of Hopkins. This fight wasn't for the Olympic Trials. It was a pro fight.

Elitesoldier, you scored Dawson vs. Johnson 8-4.

The fighter you wanted to win gets your scorecard, numbnuts.

Funny.....in Britain everyone on television unanimously scored it in favour of Calzaghe. No joke. The only thing they were scared of was Calzone getting robbed in America.

What's funny about that exactly? And who is everyone?

The BBC? Because the BBC thought Hopkins won.

The BBC? No...the BBC didn't show the fight. It was Setanta Sports - i'm not taking the piss Addison, i'm stating a fact.

The coverage was only on one channel in Britain. Setanta Sports on that show... the two commontators John Rawling and former champ Richie Woodhall (who had a score card on screen) had Calzaghe winning.

Barry McGuigian in the studio also said Calzaghe had it. Also Sports pundit Steve Bunce also agreed that Hopkins had lost.

Wheres your source for the bbc saying Calzaghe lost?? Surely you didn't tune into British radio to hear of the fight?

Whats funny is...American pundits thought Hopkins won. British thought Calzaghe won. It's funny because it displays the bias in full effect.
