    Nope. Gotta disagree with you.
Pound for pound best fighter is what it is.
That's about skills and heart, and while a record helps us monitor
a boxer's skillset and courage, the P4P list has always struck me as
one based on who IS the best, pound for pound.

A P4P King would show up and beat up everyone else, if everyone
could be brought up/down to a common catchweight w/o hurt to
    anyone's skills.

Floyd rules, skillwise, but his lack of heart ---ducking Cotto et. al.
definitely factors into the computation. If he wouldn't show up for
a hypothetical P4P bout vs., say, Cotto, then he'd lose to Cotto by
    default.

Like, there's no imaginary P4P catchweight vs. Cotto, is there?

Seriously, I mean compared to Tye Fields, who is Pacman, PBF, or Calzaghe for that matter?

...and regarding what Pac needs to do to get to P4P#1?

          Can't be done now.
His courage 2001-2006 combined with his skills 2007-onward might
have been enough, but he seems to be in endgame mode:

Retirement in 2-3 years, so he goes where the money is, rather than
hunting down the top dogs like he used to. I hasn't helped that whoever
Pac has beaten has automatically thence been labelled as having been
"past their prime", or "inexperienced", etc.. by apologists.

          The script's already written:
Pac will get Diaz's belt, SD Marquez again at LW, maybe fight either
Casa, Campbell or Juan Diaz before fighting Hatton, and then retire
          to manage his grocery.

Why do you think King Kong and Godzilla are ducking mighty Tye Fields?

I hear you on that one. Last I heard, the monsters intentionally crashed the boxingscene forums in hopes of not having Tye read the thread. It worked... for 20 minutes. Tye's gonna kill em' now.

Ty Fields is the most feared and avoided fighter in the history of boxing.

There is only 1 Tyeee Fieldssss.
