Watched the fight last night and did a round by round.
    Heres my scoring.

Round 6: Calzaghe stalks B-Hop. Left from Joe. Flurry from Joe. Right hand to the body by Hopkins. Big flurry for Joe at the end of the round. Joe's combinations getting the better of Hopkin's counterpunching style. 10-9 Round for Joe. 57-56 Hopkins.

Round 7: Jabs from Joe. Left by Hopkins. Flurry by Joe. Nice left from hopkins. Combo by Hopkins, big right hand from Hopkins wobbles Joe. Hopkins came on strong at the end of the round, but Joe controlled the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds. 10-9 Calzaghe. 66-66 Even.

Round 11: Jab from Hopkins. Right by Joe. Combos from Calzaghe. Right by Hopkins. Jabs from Joe. Combo by Joe. Huge combo from Joe! 10-9 Round for Calzaghe.

Round 12: Left from Hopkins. Both guys infighting. Left by Joe. Combo from Hopkins. Left by Joe. Combo from Joe. Another combo from joe. They throw punches past the bell. Close 10-9 Round for Calzaghe.
    115-112 Joe Calzaghe.

Fight Notes: Calzaghe's flurries were more effective than Hopkins throwing one punch at a time. Hopkins dropped Joe with a beautiful right hand in Round One, and wobbled him again in Round 7. Round 7 was a close round to score, Joe controlled the early action in the round with his flurries, but Hopkins landed nice combinations and a big right hand that wobbled Joe at the end of the round.
Calzaghe's youth and agressiveness won on the cards. He had more energy down the stretch.
I think Compubox numbers are flawed, I dont think Joe landed that many punches, but he still deserved the the decision.
Hopkins this he deserved the decision.
    He is wrong.

Not a bad scorecard, but I felt Bernard clearly won round 8 and pulled out 5 and 7.

I scored round 2 for Joe making it 114-113 on my card for Bernard, but I can see Joe winning.

Hopkins kept backing up, and wasnt landing at a high enough percentage to win points on effective agression. Ring generalship went to Joe. He was justs landing too many punches in those close, competitive rounds to give Hopkins the edge.

There were a number of rounds you could give Hopkins, but nothing after the first you absolutely had to give him. He just didn't have it in him to have even one decisive round.

Very negative, very poor fight from him. Very cautious fight from Joe by his standards. Both guys dropped heavily in my estimation

Well most of those punches thrown by Calzaghe weren't landing that cleanly (On Bernard's back) and Ring generalship is debateable. Just because Hopkins backed up, he lost the category? Hopkins was clinching and making Joe fight his fight in those rounds. Hopkins was landing better shots inside the clinch too (most of the time anyway).

Hopkins also went to the body which would land pretty good too, which I felt many people didn't notice.
