Hopkins could hit Joe but Pavlik won't be able to. Joe caresses Pavlik's face with the inside of his gloves for 36 minutes.

But Joe needs to fight LHWs, not Pavlik.

If they have the balls to hype this fight up, then Pavlik better sign the contract or he is going to look like a coward. And hopefully the **** talking is only for now and when they sign the contracts it cools off because I like both fighters because of how underrated they are labeled at times. But I really feel that Jack Loew wouldn't be dumb enough to put Pavlik in with an elite like Calzaghe. Taylors one thing but Calzaghe? Whens the last time Taylor threw over 1,000 punches per fight? Calzaghes punch stats are insane

The SM and LH recognized champ and people on here think a come forward ****er could beat him.. ????

I think pav is a bad ass and one of my fave fighters.. but Roy gives Joe far more trouble than pav.

Also, the myth that Joe has an iron chin has been dispelled, so Pavlik could potentially stop Calzaghe.
No, Calzaghe has one of the best chins in the business. It was a flash knockdown which included a push. Or do you call that a clean knockdown? I don't. The shot that put Joe down was good, but not that good. If it had been significant, Joe wouldn't have jumped straight off the canvas. He looked like he wasn't hurt at all. In fact I'd go as far as saying Byron Mitchell hit Calzaghe harder than that.

I think Calzaghe would win by UD.

and he was hurt by all of them.

I think he has a very good chin, but its not iron like a Hagler.

Pavlik is a good, exciting fighter, but would be outclassed against Calzaghe. We shall see though. Calzaghe says he's only going to fight once more and retire, but since he's The Man in two divisions he's likely to stay around for 2 more fights. First Jones and then Pavlik. As Joe said before Hopkins he will fight "whoever pays the most." His legacy is secured so he has earned the right to get the big paydays that have eluded him.

I think that Calzaghe's chin is good enough to stand up to a one punch at a time sort of offense from KP. If Joe can make him miss enough, he'd have a good chance. Agree?
