What makes people think Kessler hits harder than Pavlik, Bernard who is not a puncher rocked Joe right off the bat and I think its safe to say Kelly hits harder than Bernard. Kessler is intimidating looking, but hes fought nobody so i dont get why people think hes some type of devastating puncher, i mean i guess its possible that he is but until he proves it against a legit fighter, Pavliks power is greater than Kessler's in my eyes.

Kessler has fought people. Pavlik's punch maybe better then Kessler's, but not enough to finish him off in the first 4 rounds.

Calzaghe has really good upperbody movement to dodge the jab of Pavlik and Calzaghe will fire off a flurry before Pavlik can get his right off.

Kelly would give JC a very hard fight much harder than the current version of Roy Jones .

Kelly Pavlik is not that special, he will be beaten with ease by the slapper. The slapper struggles against rough and scrappy fighters. Kelly Pavlik fights like a European fighter, with left jab jab, right hand. The slapper has never had any problems with such a style.

He hit him while he was offbalance and got him right down the middle while he was cold.
He decked him early and didn't come close to stopping him that's all it was a flash knockdown in the first minute. Maybe say is Hopkins was able to continuously KD Calzaghe then yea. Hopkins fought on the ropes and waited for an opening. Pavlik comes forward plants his feet and fires away. he ISN'T a counterpuncher, he doesn't make people miss and he isn't slick. He's there to be hit Hopkins never is. Calzaghe would beat him pretty easily.

haha why? because he looks like a body builder or what? Jeffs money punch is a left hook, Pavliks is a right hand, similar and more powerful than the one that put joe on his backside. With that said Pavlik and Joe are 15pounds apart so i doubt this fight gets made soon.

The big difference is Kessler is a stalker and Kelly is a hunter that presses you all the way , the major thing I saw yesterday is Joe is very messy and open , Im not saying Kelly beats him but I think it would be a real fight and Kelly is right in with a winning shot as unlike Bernard Pavlik will pull the trigger .

Be nice to see Leow actually back up his words by actually pushing for a fight between Pavlik & Calzaghe, instead of just mouthing off.

He did this after the Kessler fight, & yet there wasn't the slightest interest in actually making the fight from anyone in the Pavlik camp.


It would be a good fight, & a makeable one, but there has got to be real interest in actually making the fight from Arum & Leow within the next 3 or 4 months.

Otherwise, Calzaghe is probably just going to fight Jones & then retire.

If there is a real proposal, however, imagine Calzaghe & his people would be very interested.

I definetly think its a VERY close fight though, one that Pavlik could win just as easily as Calzaghe could. I really hope it happens

One flash knockdown proves he doesn't have a good chin? Did you see how many uppercuts and big right hands Kessler landed early in the fight before the slapper started dominating?
