I think I did pee a little in my pants when he got KD, and I was nervous as **** when Joe started to put his hands down right in front of B-Hop

Body shots did Bernard in. No marks to the face, but you can guarantee his ribs hurt.

....I was shocked to see it, and at first I thought Joe was kind of hurt. Turns out he wasn't and Hopkins demeanor after it happened showed that he didn't think Joe was hurt either. Throw out that flash knockdown half a push and the scores aren't close. Joe dominated that fight IMO and dictated to Bernard. He also showed that the sheltered white boy was tougher than the cheating prison thug when it came down to it. So much for Bhops hard act.

But Joe perservered and came back like a true champ

The knockdown in the first round was a good counter punch that Calzaghe went right into the punch making it more then it was.

I didn't feel **** at all. I was surprised that B-Hop landed so cleanly, but I knew it meant nothing because Calzaghe turns up the heat as the fight goes on, and it was not a powerful shot. Joe was in a vulnerable position and got tangled up and slipped after the shot. It was similar to the Zab/Floyd "knock down" - one fighters comes in low and unbalanced and gets a small clean shot. The difference was that Floyd didnt get tangled up and Joe did. But even if it would've been a really powerful shot, sure I would've been surprised, but i was 100% confident in Joe.
