I thought the first 5 rounds were close but then Calzaghe swept the majority of the mid to late rounds to win the fight.

Calzaghe won clearly, 115-112 on my card.

It was close but it was decisive IMO. All credit to Hopkins for making it closer than anyone else ever had before.

Before this fight Calzaghe was only forced to win by SD on the one occasion, so all credit to Hopkins, but although close, it was a clear victory for Calzaghe.

I was telling my wife I'm glad I wasn't one of the judges since it was hard to score.

It was very close, and yes it could have gone either way. It probably didn't go in Bhops favor because 12 rounds of Hopkins was frustrating.. for Joe as well as the crowd. I really don't care for the outcome, the fight was boring as hell. All I saw Joe had over Bernard was his workrate. I didn't see much from Joe other than him running around all night getting popped and grappled. I was not convinced by most of JC's flurries either, and neither was Hopkins really. I'm most definately not watching that fight again so I guess I'll go with the judges on this one.

Before people slag me of saying i am not hating on Joe i though he did well and so did Bhop.

I thought it was close, but based on the reaction on these boards I think I may have been so horrified by the relatively poor Calzaghe I saw that I failed to notice that he did enough to win most rounds. I was too busy waiting for some of Joe's customary magic.

I'm gng to watch the fight again and post my opinion on it then.

I thought it was very close.. doesn't change the fact that Hopkins still lost for me though

They eliminated each other! I scored it by one round to Joe but honestly thought we'd see a draw or decision for Hopkins in Vegas.

The rounds Hopkins won were for me clearer than those that Joe nicked and I felt that it was a fight Hopkins lost rather than Joe won through holding and whinging over supposed low blows which looked really innocuous.

I wasn't impressed with Joe though, I think his form is finally starting to slip. I wouldn't be betting on him..........on this form to beat the Jones Jnr we recently saw fight Trinidad.
