He did a much better job than i thought he would but i don't trate him as a top ref at all. he is too inconsistant! IMO

I don't like Cortez, but I wouldn't have wanted the assignment in Calzaghe-Hopkins. Pretty hard for a ref to look good in a Hopkins fight.

These are questions you ask yourself.

And may I point out.

Before you answer them fill yourself with a little sense of DIGNITY.

1. Does holding 20 times a round warrant a point deduction?
2. Does headbutting or attempting it every round warrant a point deduction?
3. Does a TOP REF fall for Fake moves instead of calling a KD?

These questions can only be PROPERLY ANSWERED when you are on a DIGNIFIED MENTAL STATE.

Otherwise you can state all those excuses and lower Bhop to the lowest worms of all just for the sake of a win.

Im not a Calzaghe fan but I admire how he fights.

At least Calzaghe fights with pride and honor.

BHOP doesnt.
