Hopkins should have lost a point for holding and he should have scored a knockdown in the 11th.

but tonight it coulda been way worse he could believed hopkins and take 2 points from calzaghe for the alleged low blows

He tried to steal the fight from joe at times it appeared. I think Cortez is a nutt hugging American ref. Hopkins held more then ricky hatton. And at times it looked like Hopkins was trying to rip joes arm off because he didn't want joe to punch him anymore in the body.

Ever since the Hatton debacle, I've hated how Cortez referees big fights. It seemed like he broke the fighters up every time they even got close to one another. Another observation is that he's too ****in distracting with his barking instructions every second of the fight..

eh i thought he was okay last night, maybe could have given Hopkins a warning for clinching 10+ times a round

He did seem a little bit leniant with Hop early where he was bumming Hatton all over the place but overall he was fair to both guys imo

He shudda ***** slapped hop though for all the moaning about 'low-blows'

That second time Hopkins faked it he should have called a knockdown. The first time was a disgrace and obvious gamesmanship, the second time Calzaghe didn't even throw a punch!
