This would be bad for Joe Calzaghe. He won't loose the fight... Jones is afraid to pull the trigger... he's not what he was, and Joe would win clear on points. But I think a fight makes no sense at all (except Money). The Hopkins did made some kind of sense. It was an ugly fight and the Roy Jones fight would be no different. Roy is safety first, so this fight would be very boring I think. And this leaves some sort of mark on your career. If you fight to over the hill big names and don't look good. Even though it's not your fault that Hopkins tried to destroy anything first instead of helping himself first, and Roy Jones is going to run all night and shoot a few fast punches... it only can make you look.

Calzaghe should fight somebody who is also orientated to win. That's best for him and his legacy

I can't believe people are saying Pavlik would destroy Joe. The fight won't happen this year as Pavlik is booked up fighting bums. He's the best middleweight in the world and a good fighter, but he's still young and his team would want him to be more experienced before moving up and taking on a Calzaghe. There's no necessity for this fight to happen. It may happen next year if Calzaghe carries on.

Roy may still have some power (emphasis on "may") but his workrate will see him overwhelmed with activity. Your boy may get totally undressed.

I give joe his props, I predicted. Hopkins by ud or ko.He proved me wrong. Jones at this point hasn't done anything to show he's still able to go in there with a very fast very skilled calzaghe. I think Jones will get knocked out. It will be a good matchup style wise. Pavlik has the best chance at making a realy close fight. And did people forget that winky, even tho lost to hop, is still a threat to anyone in that weight between 160 and 175. I don't see anyone else having a chance against Joe, Dawson too unexperienced, MAYBE Tarver if He shows up.
