How is Calzaghe going to KO Hopkins without landing virtually any decent power shots? Forget about his hands.

You receive a lot of bad karma from the other members here, because you consider white fighters to be inferior and because you are ******. Below the avatar, you have a red bar - can't you see it?

Calzaghe was a feared puncher, he used to stop most of his opponents. Today, he doesn't hit hard enough to knock down someone like Eubank.

Totally correct prime Calz had way more power, here is a video that demonstrates it.

The amazing part is that Calz didn't even need to use his left.

ou mean a 43 earold hopkins against a 25 yhearold calzaghe? i wouldn't think its impossible but i think a wide UD would be more likely.

now a 25 yearold hopkins vs 25 yearold calzaghe, THAT would be interesting

He was on another level 6 years ago than he is today, thats just a fact.
another level 6 years ago? so is this him close to his prime to you then? http://youtube.com/watch?v=J27JjNvYZ40
personally, I think that Calzaghe looked his best against Kessler and Lacy. thats when he looked the most skilled.

and also guys, prime Hopkins sure as hell aint the one that fought Taylor and was 40. prime Hopkins was when he was in his early 30s, when he started getting to his late 30s is when he started turning into the boring ass Hopkins that relied on hugging, fouling and running to win fights...

You should watch some of Calzaghe's fights from between 5 and 12 years ago. He was a feared puncher at that time, and scored a lot of KOs.

The problem is, few people in North America have seen his earlier fights. I had to order videos of those early fights from Britain.
