Prime Calzaghe would have KOed Hopkins

Joe Calzaghe hasn't been able punch as hard since he broke his left hand in the Ashira fight.

Prime Calzaghe would not only have defeated B-Hop, he would have knocked him out!

I think I found the problem with Calzaghe's hands. Have you seen those ****ing ratty ass gloves he uses? Gloves need to be replaced, they got worn out and dont protect your hands.

Not at all. Prime Calzaghe was different in the sense that he was more able to turn his punches over and flurry with stronger shots. But Hopkins still has great balance and an all time great chin. I don't think he's KO Hopkins, but that aint saying much. Not many could.

You're thinking that the gloves he used that night were those years old ones that Enzo mentioned. They aren't. The old gloves are his sparring ones.

Get the *** outta here. Prime Bernard would gave Joe a boxing lesson. Joe won bcuz of his work rate. Bernard can't keep up at 43.

Hopkins fights so negatively that we never get to find out if he's knockoutable.

But everyone can be put to sleep. We all have the same nerves, spinal cord, etc, that will react so when tugged by a jerking of the jawbone

Hopkins threw 640 punches at age 42 vs Winky Wright, twice his output at 40 in the first Taylor fight. I'm not buying that excuse any more.

No ****in way. Bernard is too hard to hit flush to knock out now, let alone in younger, quicker days. He's a tough fighter, Joe C has never had serious KO pop, and on top of that he has brittle hands. If anything, prime for prime the one who'd be likely to get the KO would be Nard.

If you watched the Taylor fight you'd know what you just said was pointless. Bernard gave away the first 6 or 7 rounds. It'd make sense that his output was lower. He fought with the wrong gameplan. I was referring to the late 90's Bernard or the early 2000's.

In the late 90's Hopkins was fighting tomato cans, of course he looked good.
And in the second Taylor fight, he threw about the same number, half of what he did in the Wright fight.
Bernard gave away the first 9 rounds in the first Taylor fight BTW, then dominated the last three.
