I'm glad that you gave an honest opinion, not a biased one, so I'm not going to slate you for posessing it. I will however recommend that you maybe watch a few more of Calzaghe's fights. Your description of Calzaghe's game is superficially accurate, apart from the bit about his chin, which is as solid as they come. However that description displays little or no knowledge of what it is that Calzaghe actually does in order to win his fights, which is completely undermine his opponents strategy by making small but important adjustments to his own game that leave his opponent floundering and out of ideas. This is how a fighter who frequently gives away a lot in terms of physical power is able to beat fighters like Kessler and Lacy so one-sidedly, and incidentally it is also why he looked bad against Hopkins, because Bernard is just as good at this tactical game as Calzaghe and was able to see and respond to what Calzaghe was doing, unlike most fighters.
Like I said, I'm not dissing you at all, but if you apply a little bit of attention to Calzaghe's game, against Lacy, Kessler and even Hopkins, and ask yourself honestly "what other fighter can do this?", I think you will see that far from being overrated, Calzaghe is actually underrated by the majority of boxing fans, and that far from hurting boxing, Calzaghe is one of the best talents in the sport today and a credit to it as well.
