    I had it 117-110 Calzaghe

he didn't land a whole lot when he wasn't locked up with Joe C - he leaned in with his head, held, and cheapshotted. He avoided getting hit a lot, but he did get hit a lot considering the pace and makeup of the fight. Like late career James Toney and Roy Jones, his skill set has declined but he's too proud to admit he loses a fight. And Adelaide Byrd is yet another example for the argument of women not being allowed to judge fights...

he knew things weren't going his way - thus the zab Judaesque low blow full-blown acting production...even though he low blowd to the crotch and leg whenever they would lock up

A point taken for that!? That would have been ridiculous.

I had it 115 - 112 to Joe. Hopkins landed perhaps 3 nice clean shots, Joe was far busier and was the aggressor.

Not Joe's best performance, but he beat a great fighter tonight. Chuffed for him.

Calzaghe clearly won but Hopkins was the better boxer.

one low blow? what fight were you watching?

or, do you think the first couple didn't count even though the ref acknowledged them?

Calzaghe got the job done by simply outworking Hopkins.
Agree with you again. Expect some green

114-113 for Hopkins, but the swaying rounds were 5 and 7 that could have gone to Calzaghe. Maybe round 8 too, but I thought Hopkins clearly won that round even though a lot disagreed.

So I'm not to upset that Hopkins didn't win because Joe put up a really good fight and I was impressed. Anything past 115-112 for Joe shouldn't be taken seriously. That's the biggest stretch you could have it and it should have been 114-113 for Joe insted of that ****ing Harold ledderman card as an official card.

                116-111 was sad.

edit: WTF? 117-110 was even worse.

I think 114-113 or 115-112 Calzaghe or whatever the judges gave him were right scores. There were rounds I thought Hopkins closely won where he landed several hard, clean power punches. Ultimately Joe just outworked him with his faster hands and combinations.

I actually scored it 116-113 (not 116-112 as I stated earlier) for Hopkins. I scored it as follows:

                      R1: 10-8 Hopkins
                      R2: 10-9 Hopkins
                      R3: 10-9 Hopkins
                      R4: 10-9 Hopkins
                      R5: 10-9 Calzaghe
                      R6: 10-9 Hopkins
                      R7: 10-10 even
                      R8: 10-9 Hopkins
                      R9: 10-9 Calzaghe
                      R10: 10-10 even
                      R11: 10-9 Calzaghe
                      R12: 10-9 Calzaghe

Again, I'm not worried about the scoring or the official outcome. Bernard tired down the stretch, no question, but I thought he landed the cleaner, better shots. Joe looked awful IMO. He threw some of the gayest punches I've seen in quite some time. Apparently a lot of people were impressed by him though.
