Adamek Makes Bell Quit After Seven in Poland

The good news for American based cruiserweight titlist Steve Cunningham is that he has his next challenger lined up. The bad news is, he's most likely heading to Europe for the fourth straight time. [details]

Bell is pretty much now reduced to a Cruiserweight gatekeeper. I think Cunningham will fair much better against Adamek even if it is in Poland.

      thats what i thought.

adamak is one fight away from being the best in the division. if haye moves up as he says he will and adamak beats cunnunham then he's the man. he was among the elite at light heavy with his only loss coming to the still unbeatin chad dawson. he lost his wbc belt to dawson that he had won in beating paul briggs in the first of there two brutal meatings. He also defended that belt against hugo gary a half decent light heavyweight. he look weight drained in his loss to dawson even though he was able to knock him down late in the fight and since moving up to cruiser weight he has looked in great shape. winning three strait fights in domante fashion. including this knock out of the man who started 2007 as the lineal champ oniel bell. the sky is the limit for adamak at cruiserweight but the sky isn't that high there. he can become a star for being an action fighter aswell as a good polish fighter. but he can't move up to heavyweight because he's to small. so the best he can hope for is a great run at the twohundred pound division. even if haye leaves there are plenty of big fights there. he can fight big fights against cuninham remath bell or take on jean marc mormeck the man who lost the lineal title to haye. he can also take on smaller fights that could still provide exitment with maccarnilli, braithwait, or even jirov who has recently returned to the division. and as for bell he can always look for a third fight with mormeck a rematch with adamak or a move up to heavyweight to fight david haye( which could be a fight of the year). worse come to worse he can go back to the drawing board and take a few tune up fights then take on a braithwait or a jirov. though he may hav lost the fight he still is a fan friendly fighter any real boxing fan would love to watch. he gets of the canvas to win and not just win win by knock out. as does adamak. both are top five fighters in the division adamak one and bell three in my view. so i gets what i'm saying is i want to see them both again real soon and all of you will being watching adamak take over the division when haye leaves.

Big props to adamek. I thought Bell would KO him. He looks ready for a title shot now. If Haye moves up I think Adamek can be the top dog. I wonder if Zolt would man up and face him.

Tomasz Adamek is the real deal at Cruiserweight, he is much more comfortable at that weight...He nearly killed himself making 175 and it showed against Dawson, he was weight drained bigtime....

Adamek is one of toughest fighters in boxing, a true warrior and the best Cruiserweight in the world IMO.

Where did Adamek gas out against Dawson and when did he say that he had weight problems? After the fight at the post fight press, he stated that he has no excuses and that Dawson was simply too fast. plus he has never faced a southpaw in his entire career.

is that true about never facing a southpaw in his entire career? that must just mean his pro career, as he had 120 amateur fights...would be one huge right handed run if he never faced a lefty in that many amateur fights.

BTW: what was the reason for Bell quitting?

He was getting beat, but he didn't appear hurt in any way.

He was weight drained, his management comfirmed it in interviews, that's why he moved up 25 lbs to Cruiserweight, that was not the best Tomasz Adamek against Dawson...Adamek had been killing himself to make weight too long and now he is at a comfortable 200 lbs, he was starving himself to make 175...He is just a classy warrior that dosen't make excuses, unlike Miranda who whined and cried about being weight drained against Pavlik.
