Update on when Kessler is gonna fight again:
The talks about Mikkel Kessler and colombian Edison Miranda continues to live it's own life. First was the date of the fight May 24th, then the fight was cancelled, apparently because Mikkel Kessler and his matchmaker Mogens Palle would rather prefer a title fight against Anthony Mundine, which had the Miranda camp threatning with a lawsuit.
During Tuesday, Mirandas name came into play again, when Mogens Palle explained, that the Colombian ran from their agreed fight, June 21st in USA. Mogens Palle said Wedensday, that he had gotten the American TV Station HBO in on the idea, and he was trying to make it possible for the fight to be a title fight.
"It's sad" said Kessler.
"Now I had my hopes up on fighting Miranda, and now the fight is off,"
"I don't know what's gonna happen. But I'm still hoping for a fight in June.
I am ready, that's for sure. I'm training really good, so I really hope I can get a fight soon!," Kessler said.
Mikkel Kessler on Bernard Hopkins - Joe Calzaghe
Mikkel Kessler thinks, that Joe Calzaghe will win the fight against Bernard Hopkins, but will be rooting for the 43-year old Bernard Hopkins, when the two fight in Las Vegas.
"If Calzaghe wins, I would never get my rematch, but if he lose, maybe it will give me a chance of a rematch," Kessler said.
