I don't know about that. Did he beat your favorite fighter in his prime, or was you favorite Tito? Sounds like we have a hater on our hands.

Roy shouls have never taken a fight 4 months after losing by a devastating KO, expecially against a guy like Johnson. But, Roy's heart made him want to get right back in the title picture and so there goes history. I think Roy's mind has healed from those KO's and he would fight Glenn Johnson in a whole different way. He would be more active and counter more effectively. And, I don't care what people say on here: Jones has KO power at LHW. He just chooses not to use it all the time. Jones will KO Johnson if they fight again. I know that for sure. That is the only way to get even. A UD is not enough in my opinion.
I admire your faith in him but then again, who ko's Glenn Johnson these days?
And is Roy gonna take the risk. I thought he had Trinidad dead to rights a couple of times, and didn't finish him. He was content with the decision.
Can't see him doing that to Glenn because he's not crazy about sitting down on his punches.

There is no doubt Roy was great with power in the 90's. Just not now.

If Roy thinks he's P4P again he needs to prove it and Johnson would be a great start. Tarver seems serious again and Dawson is the real deal....Roy doesn't derserve them simply based on his name.

Oh yeah as pertaining to this thread.....Calzaghe by easy and embarrassing UD. Roy would actually get outboxed.......
that would be too dangerous for roy IMO he would get ko'd again... roy doesen't have the legs to keep moving away from johnson and he would linger on the inside and get beaten really bad. Prime Rjj owns any version of johnson though

I still think he has it at times, he just needs to put together a whole fight of it to beat Johnson or Calzaghe. I guess time will tell how it will play out, because neither of us really know for sure.

Jones bugs me. Whenever I hear him speak I just think, goddam boy you blew it by not retiring after winning the heavyweight belt instead of shedding all that muscle you put on to get punished by a light heavyweight no one will talk about in 10 years. He's scared of getting knocked out these days. Only reason he beat Tito was cos Tito was way small and faded and just collectin a paycheck. Comin off a lay off. The first decent puncher Jones steps in with is gonna lay his gunshy ass out like Johnson and Tarver, mark my words. Boy cant hold no big power shots no more.

I know Calzaghe is 36 and best his best now, but he would destroy Roy Jones.

Even more so than he will destroy Hopkins tonight.
