I tend to agree with you on a lot of stuff, but I think this is more US UK than black white. He is way underrated by the US, not everyone, but a lot. There are loads of very knowledgable fight fans stateside, but the general public? Its the same as the UK. Michael Johnson is without doubt the finest 200 & 400m runner God has placed on this planet, but a majority of people could name 50 baseball or football players but not have a clue who he is
Are there posters here who truly believe Calzaghe is ALL just workrate?

Joe has skills to go with his high output. He can be accurate as hell against some fighters, but B-Hop is too skilled himself to just stand there and let Joe flurry again and again without taggin him back. If Joe C wins he'll need more than just his work rate to do it.Comment

Joe is much more than a workrate, just as bhop is much more than a defensive fighter. both men have been severely underrated by many.Comment

The only way Hopkins will be able to stop Joe from attacking from angles is to hold anytime Joe gets within hugging distance. That means that Hopkins will prolly have to work more than he has ever done before. And when Joe gets fustrated, nothing much changes because he already has an eradic fighting style.
Aside from clinching and employing dirty tactices, Hop is going to have to be first and establish right hand in the second hand of the fight. Why the second half? Because you dont want to give Joe Calibur enough time to adjust.Comment
