With that being said, none of that means anything. Bernard was younger and so was Roy.

The bottom line is, Bernard has fought guys with fast hand speed: De La Hoya, Roy Jones. Bernard has fought technical boxers: Winky Wright, Antonio Tarver. Bernard has fought punchers: Felix Trinidad, Antuwon Echols. Bernard has fought guys that only move forward: Glen Johnson. He's even fought modern day trainers: John David Jackson.

Calzaghe's style brings nothing "new" to the table outside of the fact that Bernard has literally never fought Joe Calzaghe before.

Again, none of this really matters because Bernard is far removed from his prime, so Joe will be seeing a poor man's version of Bernard Hopkins tomorrow night.

Even with that being said, when has Joe ever fought a fighters as rough and crafty as Bernard? That's the question you Calzaghe water bucket holders should be concerned with.
Calzaghe combines more than one attribute of those fighters you mention and he also is NOT at a size disadvantage either yet still posesses better speed and footwork heart and stamina and lets not forget his chin.
Bernard has NEVER met anyone like Calzaghe apart from Roy Jones and he LOST to him.
And Calzaghe has fought plenty of rough house styles himself.
A stellar Amateur career and Unbeaten in 44 as a pro.
Who else on Bernard's resume has that.. that he has beaten?

What is so special about Calzaghe's style? a quick slap hitter that throws a lot of punches, a style that you will find out doesnt work against the best in the world.
Let's wait and see if Joe slaps.

"BTW, Bernard lost 9-3 against a one-handed Jones, didn't he?"

Joe Calzaghe was dropped and hurt by a guy that had the boxing skills of untrained Kangaroo, didn't he?

          It already did at SMW.
He beat the best there and yes a few were american.
Just because some of those guys were NOT american doesn't take away the FACT they were the best in the division and yes THE WORLD.
          America is not THE WORLD.

You guys are really ignorant when it comes to Bernard Hopkins. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but if you guys think that all Bernard Hopkins is is a roughhouse fighter then you guys are in for a big surprise tomorrow night.

Really which fights should I watch where he beats a Big guy who is a speedster with skill ,will ,heart and stamina to go the full 12?
Without fouling (Sorry some call this "mad skillz")or running away and throwing a few punches a round while the crowd boos?

Who? Byron Mitchell? Byron was knocked down 10 seconds after Joe's flash knockdown, then stopped literally 1 minute after that. Mitchell, a guy with a heavy punch, didn't even make it through the second round.

By the way, I wouldn't **** with a kangaroo. Those bastards can kill you!

Roy Jones was KO'd by Antonio Tarver, wasn't he? Hopkins was beaten by Taylor twice, wasn't he. **** happens, bro.

What's annoying is people giving Joe no chance. How do you know it isn't you who's in for a big shock tomorrow? You don't. There is no way to predict this fight, it's 50/50. Either man could win.

Seriously though, people arent looking at this fight the right way, assuming that calzaghe throwing tons of punches will be enough regardless of what hopkins does. I think those people are in for a real shock.

Hopkins will look to give calzaghe enough rope to hang himself, he'll entice joe into committing himself and then counter, he'll probably try and make calzaghe reset himself over and and over again, by moving in and out of range, he'll clinch and lean-in inside.

Freddy Roach aint ******, he says calzaghe weakness is that he fights the same fight over and again and doesnt have the ablilty to change plans mid fight. If hopkins is fit enough to follow the plan on saturday night, i think he can win. He cant piss around for 5/6 rounds like he did against taylor though, he's gotta perfom for 12 if he wants to win this fight.
