Indeed didnt Chris Eubank fight up at cruiserweight or somewhere around that later in his career?..
EDIT-Yes he did, i checked. He fought Carl Tompson at cruiserweight twice, lost both one by UD 12 and the other TKO 10.
Yes, correct. Eubank's problem was the Watson tragedy. Had that not gone down how it did, Eubank would have been a better fighter. I still think he was firing on most of his cylinders when Calzaghe beat him, but he never wanted to hurt anyone after Michael Watson. Things kinda balance up when you consider that Joe was just a young guy with not so many fights under his belt at the time. In reality, that win was spectacular for Joe at the time.
Carl Thompson was the guy who KO'd David Haye, btw. Carl was a solid fighter, but not remarkable. I assume you know this already, though.
The Roy Jones that Bernard fought was better than Joe Calzaghe in every department and Bernard still only lost 8-4.
With that being said, none of that means anything. Bernard was younger and so was Roy.
The bottom line is, Bernard has fought guys with fast hand speed: De La Hoya, Roy Jones. Bernard has fought technical boxers: Winky Wright, Antonio Tarver. Bernard has fought punchers: Felix Trinidad, Antuwon Echols. Bernard has fought guys that only move forward: Glen Johnson. He's even fought modern day trainers: John David Jackson.
Calzaghe's style brings nothing "new" to the table outside of the fact that Bernard has literally never fought Joe Calzaghe before.
Again, none of this really matters because Bernard is far removed from his prime, so Joe will be seeing a poor man's version of Bernard Hopkins tomorrow night.
Even with that being said, when has Joe ever fought a fighters as rough and crafty as Bernard? That's the question you Calzaghe water bucket holders should be concerned with.

Bika was probably the dirtiest fight I've seen Joe in. Bika pulled every single trick in the book, and still lost a huge points decision.
BTW, Bernard lost 9-3 against a one-handed Jones, didn't he?
Yes.
Chris Eubank for one.
Now can you answer my question.
haha you believe that too huh?
What is so special about Calzaghe's style? a quick slap hitter that throws a lot of punches, a style that you will find out doesnt work against the best in the world.
