true those are some impressive numbers, can you remind me how many of those fights in the States again?

      What difference does it make?

Remind us how many Bernard fights were in the UK!

It does not matter if the fights held in Britain or America because the fact is the bout takes place in a ring.

If what your sujesting is Calzaghe is the underdog in this fight because the fights in the states what you should bear in mind is there will be more british fans than american fans at the fight. So it'll be just like a fight at home for Calzaghe.

The best fight in the US thats the difference, its a proven fact. Joe could beat all the bums he wants in Europe but to prove himself he must fight over here and thats why he made the trip, but just like Ricky Hatton found out, its a whole different ball game. If Joe wins, then hes legit but until then hes just another UK fighter waiting to get exposed in my eyes, this will be his proving ground, lets see what he does with it.

Calzaghe could beat hopkins with one arm behind his back the entire fight. Calzaghe is a legend, and he'll show why when he outboxes hopkins on saturday.

Now your quoting what Bernard has said. You relise thats all promotion, right? Even Bernard does not beleive that, i can tell you that for a fact, its for guys like you who he knows will tune into the fight because of a comment like that.

Same with the white boy comment.

I seem to remember Lennox Lewis never losing a fight on American soil.

To be fair you can hardly count Hatton, no matter where he fought PBF he would have probably been beaten.

And i , as a Scot, hope Calzaghe wins, but i think people underestimate Hopkins. If B-Hop can make Joe miss and counter effectively then he could clinch it.

But Joe has a good chin and good speed, so countering him alone will be a task.

Overall I just hope its a great fight

I promise you i am not quoting anybody or falling for any promotion, just calling it how i see it. No one cares about Joe Calzaghe, if he wins then he has proven himself but as of right now he can walk down any street and wouldnt be recognized, he has Saturday to prove himself and make a name for himself, like i said lets see what he does with his oppertunity.

Wheather Calzaghe wins or does not win the fight this weekend he'll still be regarded as the greatest 168 fighter who ever laced the gloves. He will win though, by quite a few rounds.

I doubt a guy who lives in a small village in wales gives a damn about who would ask for his autograph anywhere else in the world though.

If he lose's to a 43 yr old his legacy will end with most saying he was exposed , as far as the best at 168 , I would put the ranch on prime Roy Jones giving him a boxing lesson , Joe needs to win easily in this or else he really lose's , Ive always said its a no win fight for Joe unless he wins easy like a superstar should against a 43 yr old fighter ,, the age is a real big factor in this fight .
