Cliff. Cliff. Cliff. Cliff. Cliff. Okay, we got that right now. This is like the most honest look anyone has written about this fight, it's almost always been one-sided for one guy or the other.

I've believed from the beginning that Hopkins wouldn't take the fight if he didn't think he had a shot, but I've believed from the beginning it'll be a Calzaghe UD.

If Calzaghe only throws 500 in the fight, he'll still throw about 300 more than BHops.

yea, u may be rite...... but hopkins will LAND just as many, if not more, and his will be cleaner and heavier. that's why its very important the judges do their damn job, and dont mistake "activity" for effectiveness! but like i've been predicting, it wont reach the scorecards, hops by late round stoppage!

I don't see how Joe can win am I the only person in the world who sees the dude drop his hands over and over in a fight. Not only does he drop his hands when he throws punches his feet are directly under his shoulders which means he is as square as a box. He fights like he wants to get hit with a straight right hand. When he drops his hands Hopkins will make him pay. When he drops his hands and is squares up that will be the end of the fight.

no, you're not the only person. aside from dropping his hands, his punches are also very slappy, and more importantly "looping." u can hit him with straights up the pipe all night. to win joe has to basically, completely change the way he fights, and when u've been fighting for as long as these 2 have, doing that is nearly impossible. i got hops by late fight stopage too.

the same way i had the hatton mayweather fight. everyone thought hatton's come-forward, pressuring style would be too much, but that style is very difficult to use and beat "defensive minded" fighters like mayweather and hopkins. and ppl keep talking about hopkins being old and slow, but mayweather wasn't fast, and didn't throw combos against hatton, he just timed his ass all night with straight rights, and landed the perfect "one" shot as soon as hatton got reckless, and charged in. im not saying joe will charge in as so, but hopkins will just time him right, and eventually land the right punch. u dont have to be a "power" puncher or ko artist to knock somebody out, just catch them with the right punch at the right time............... and guys that throw a lot of punches will indeed give u a lot of countering opportunites.

in boxing, there is an answer for every style. its a fact, speed can "kill", but it can be neutralized with excellent timing...............

Both of these men, the Brit and Hopkins, have extremely impressive records.

                  Two truly great fighters.

Which one is the best? Well, we can only decide on Saturday night.

1 day left before Calzaghe gets exposed

Calzaghes weakness (right hands) is Hopkins strength. They only thing to respect of Calzaghe is his record. His mechanics are very flawed.. he squares up, throws wide, drops his hands.. etc. His mechanics are fundamentally flawed. He is undefeated because he hasnt fought anyone. Lacy is a class B fighter. Kessler is a basic fighter who doesnt even know how to throw a hook off the right hand. Hopkins will be painting Calzaghes face all night with right hands and uppercuts. Thats all its going to take. Hopkins defense is superb.. Calzaghes defense is non-existent. A lengendary Philly trained figher vs. a sheltered Wales fighter with an trainer with no professional training experience. Which is why Maccarinelli (trained by Enzo) recently got embarrassed after fighting a real fighter.

Calzaghe was getting Hurt by a an average Kessler

Calzaghe was getting Hurt by a an average Kessler.. clearly Hopkins has one of the best right hands in the history of boxing. Hopkins right hand is a big problem for everybody.. but it just happens to be Calzaghes weakness and an even bigger problem than it normally would be. I see Calzaghes face getting swolled up tomorrow night and suffering a TKO if it goes that far. Hes not going to stop Hopkins..Hopkins will hold his own on defense but Calzaghe on the other hand is going to get punished because of all his mistakes and lack of defense.
