I agree 100%, going to prison is nothing to be proud of, howrever going to prison early in life then never going back, and becoming a millionair to boot, is pretty good going and something I'd be proud of.

The 'racism' will die when the bell goes and it will be all hugs post-fight.

Hopkins isn't KO'ing anyone, Joe is most dangerous when he's hurt and if he feels that right hand he will come back and KO Hopkins ask Byron Mitchell. Joe moiders da bum
LOL I have no resume mate.

Hopkins is no Mitchell and Joe can barely stop a cold these days.

If Joe gets the KO then everyone will give him the respect due. I'll post it on this very strand and never question Joe again

'fear' is a ****** word when your getting paid £3 million to have bit of a fight with a 43 year old man.

If Hopkins can be out worked by Taylor (twice), he really doesn't stand a chance. I loved Bernard for a long time, but he never delivers. He says he's coming to fight everytime, and never delivers anything but a lot of holding. His best wins were over bloated Welterweights. Its really simple, Hopkins will be outworked, period. I don't particulary like Joe C, but he has a granite chin and Hopkins can't hurt him. Has anyone noticed that anyone predicting a Hopkins stoppage can't spell either?

Poor Bernard, it seems skinny white dudes are taking over every division above middle. Must burn his ass. I honestly hope he doesn't get hurt. Good luck 'Nard.

I can see what you're saying, Neckodeemus. My Tarver bar is pretty low, so perhaps I'm giving him more credit that he deserves.

He definately looked leaner and more physically fit on 06' than he did last weekend - and this is despite coming down from "Heavy" after his little movie.. His shots also had less conviction on them I guess.. Yeah, I'd say he was broken by Hopkins at that point. His confidence was never really the same, and neither were his tools.

He got into a little groove there with Clinton.. Weird fight that was..

I think we say the same thing on Tarver in different ways. I never rated Tarver as a great in the making. I scored Jones-Tarver I 115-113 for Jones, close but no great need for a return. Jones was sometimes getting hit but Tarver flurried a lot onto gloves, whereas Jones landed a lot of right hooks to the body of Tarver and picked his spots well.

Still, Tarver is better than Lacy and Kessler, we can have subjective arguments about the matter but Tarver defeated Jones, Johnson and now Woods. Certainly Jones and Johnson are better than Lacy and Kessler. I say that as a guy who has every Kessler fight, I enjoy watching him but he is flawed, I just love seeing the 1-2 cracking home!

I've been thinking about Kays thoughts on Hopkins' past. If Hopkins lived in the 'burbs and came into the rough areas mugging people for sport, rather than survival, then he has gone up even higher in my mind, there is bad, and there is ***** bad!

Ps Your guy Cotto looked a little bored last weekend. He needs that Floyd fight in my opinion.

Maybe but you have to make a title catch the eye and 'Why Calzaghe should be slightly concerned' is not as catchy, point taken though mate, judging by your avatar you are going to have a bad enough weekend when Utd move 3-points closer to the title so I almost hope Joe wins to keep you sane :0)

Yeah I get you. I'm doing a degree in Creative Writing but it's just the word fear in regards to boxing always makes me a little weary.

I've given up on the title, that draw to Wigan was the most souless performances I have seen for a long time.

I'm a Chelsea fan but if we somehow manage to win the title it would be a disgrace to football.

                    We play anti-football.

I miss the days of Zola, Di Matteo, Leboef, Petrescu, Le Saux. I love Chelsea but this team gets on my ****in nerves. I have spent far to much money on £40 quid tickets since I've been at uni and I have seen some stinkers. Chelsea used to be about being entertainers. The entire psyche of the club has changed.

We are the Bernard Hopkins of football.

I agree fully on Tarver. It was the weight of expectation that caused all the fuss and created the buzz for Tarver in his first fight with Jones. That and this strange rivalry they apparently had all these years, which helped bring about the second fight. Roy went out of his way to find trouble.. Did he sense it? He did a good job of finding it, that's for sure!

But Tarver was always just Roy's Achilles heel as far as I was concerned, and nothing more. Certainly not an especially great fighter or anything.. I'm with you on his superiority to Lacy and Kessler though. He's got an extra gear and as much as two tricks, possibly. That's more than those boys.

Also a fan of Kessler despite that.
