Cotto. He has really improved his game since his 140 days. He is faster and uses his jab more effectively. I really don't think a 140 lb cotto would have been able to outbox judah and Mosley . He has really become a complete fighter.

Cotto will use his jab and his new quickness to set up alot of body punches that will slow down Margarito's forward aggression. Margarito can be outboxed , so cotto must not stay in front of him without giving him angles. Doing what Cintron did, by just standing there and trying to be Willie Pep will not work against margarito. Angles and movement will beat Margarito and Cotto will win a bloody hard earned decision.

I think it's like everyone says yeah, Cotto will make Tony look bad at points setting up his shots. But I think he's going to get caught eventually.

And you know how Mosley stalked him everywhere in the later rounds? lol Tony flat out will not ease up and he'll be on his ass like a parole officer.

I don't think Cotto has the firepower to get him off..........nobody does at 147 or 154.

I agree, Cotto is gonna look "prettier" boxing for a few rounds but Tony's chin, pressure, stamina and punch volume will eventually get to Cotto, making him trade up close with Tony luring him in. Tony will miss punches but he will then land some really big bombs on Cotto testing that glassy chin of his. I am now feeling so positive and optimistic that I am almost sure that Tony will stop Cotto in the 10th or 11th round.

I see your point and it is valid. However, no one has dug in deep into Margarito's tummy to slow him down. Cotto is a hard puncher to the belly , but so is Margarito, which means it will be Gomez vs sanchez for the 2000's.

I'm not counting out Antonio or dissin his abilities. I just believe that Cotto has raised his game to another level, while Margarito has just remained on the same level.

I got Cotto winning this, I think he would KO Tony, if not he would win by UD but dropping Tony twice before the final bell. Don't see Tony winnig more than 3 rnds if it goes to desicion

It's clear that Cotto should be the favorite.

He is after all the class Olympian with the boxing skill/extensive resume. It's good to see however that people know what this fight is.

lol I mean the novice boxing viewer sees Tony's record at 36-5-0-1 and they automatically assume he's the cannon fodder type matchup.

cotto.i beleive cotto is the third best pound for pound fighter in the world.his record his skill set and his resume is even with floyds in my opinion and is just below pacman.margarito is a big welterweight with quite posisbly an all time great chin and a great work rate.i just think that cotto elevates his game for whatever the fight he fights calls for.many people think he's long for a loss, and i totally disagree.cotto in my opinion will go down as a all time great welterweight if he sticks around.he has the tools to beat floyd.[won't get into that at the moment this is about margo and cotto]and he's got what it takes to beat margo.it won't be a landslide by any means but he takes this one fairly comfortably.
i say he takes 8 rounds.
