Just read the thread, it's all there.

"art of verbal pugilism"? Where is the art in picking up a debate halfway through and making yourself look an idiot.

Also not once have i said i'm a Calzaghe fan.
welter is a 13 pound difference, supermiddle is 8 pounds up from middle. they are fighting at 175 which is a 15 pound increase from bernards best weight. and at 5"11 tito was a pretty big welterweight. my point is you can't just throw out decent wins because it makes your argument look better. i used your argument against you, and effectively i might add.

Ineffectively i would say. What this boils down to is, is Hopkins more suited to lightheavyweight than Tito is to middleweight? I would say yes.

only because he is a BETTER fighter. not because he is a naturally bigger lhw then tito was a mw. of course a more skilled fighter will have a better run at a higher weight than a lesser skilled fighter, so your comparison there is really irrelevant to the argument. tito fights at 168 now so your saying you still think he is a natural welter but bernard who moved up at age 41 to lhw is now not a natural middleweight? your twisting **** to serve your own purpose. case closed

this fight boils down to whether father time has caught up to hopkins, that is the only argument., cause if the two were the same age, hopkins would be a huge favorite and the fight probably would never happen. joe took this fight now because he is banking on an assist from father time.

I would hardly say Tito is "fighting" at 168 now. He had one pathetic fight there.

You've said it yourself there, Hopkins is having a "a better run at a higher weight", so you must think that a win over the "more skilled" Hopkins will count for more than a win over the "lesser skilled" Tito?

              1. Hopkins started his career at 175

              2. Hopkins has been fighting at 175 for two years now with great success.

              3. Calzaghe has never fought above 168.

Not really sure what your point is.

No need to, you made your own self look like an ass. Bernard has fought legends, more then 2. How many REAL legends has Calzaghe faced? I'm listening? And I mean known world over, not just in the UK

How many legends that were at their best at 160 did Hopkins beat at MW? I surely hope you're not counting Tarver as a legend, and Winky Wright, at 170? Please.

My quote wasn't to you. It doesnt' matter weight classes. I simply asked HIM how many have Joe faced. If you read the quotes we were quoting earlier you would of understood.

By the way. Roy Jones, Trinidad, DLH. Thanks for your input though.
