With that said, Im not sure Pac is the man you want to target, if this is all true.
Amir Khan is a big boy though, if pacman does good against diaz I think khan will pull out.

but if Pacman does bad he will challenge, khan is freaking big for lightwieght.

Could draw an audience but I think it's a mismatch. Khan ain't ready for that fight just yet. He needs more than just one more fight before he gets a real big main event.

no Shelly Finkel.. VANES' manager has confirmed 100% that Vanes will open the PPV show with a 10-rounder against a very solid opponent who we are waiting on confirmation for (fought both Winky Wright and Kasim Ouma for world titles, lost both by decision).

Plus, PPV doesn't really have the time constraints regular HBO does so there is no reason to cut anything out.

I guess they see the marketability of british fighters.

I'm curious to see how many fans would fly over to watch Khan. He is the most famous boxer over here for sure, but in terms of actual fight fans who will travel. I doubt he has a quarter of Joe Calzaghe's following not even mentioning Ricky.
fight khan to familiarize manny to the british fans?

to hype up a hatton-pacquiao fight even more?

khan is freaking big for a junior welterweight!

this is top rank smokescreen. all the names they're throwing out there is to get golden boy to throw out more money for a rubber match with marquez or to get golden boy to approve a hatton-pacquiao fight.

what is golden boy's position on a hatton-pacquiao? will they not approve it because they feel juan manuel should get a rubber match?

Pacquiao comes into superfeather fights as a welter. Khan might be taller but bigger he is not. Pacquiao will hit with twice as much force behind the left at lightweight. I guarantee you that. What manny fans should be worried about is loss of speed from putting on weight. We already seen him working on his upperbody movement to compensate for the lack of mobility he will have.
