WTF was JMM not matched with the best back in his prime???

Ive been watching his old fights alot and god damn was this dude good. Amazing technical skills and killer combos. **** Bob Arum and top rank. Juan Manuel Marquez could have given us more great fights. He shoulda fought prime Marco Antonio Barrera, prime Erik Morales, and Naseem Hamed(well I think he didnt fight JMM because he didnt want to). What are others he would have put a great show with?

he was also avoided too. Manny Stewart admitted that he tried to keep Naz away from him.

Jmm was always technically gifted. He howver was a pretty boring fighter with his counterpunching style, My opinion. He just recently has become more aggresive which has made his recent fights more entertaining.

JMM had a shot to make a name for himself but he Blew it against freddie Norwood in one of the most unwatchable fights I've seen. BORING and sloppy was the theme of that fight, and it cost him in terms of bringing excitement and interest to his name.

        He still won it. (IMO)

Mainly bad management and fighters ducking him.

He was Hamed's mandatory for over a year but Hamed refused to fight him and instead decided to fight Barrera.

He lost to Freddie Norwood in his first title shot so he had to fight his way back to the top, and when he reached the top, he drew with Pacquiao. After the Pacquiao fight, instead of taking a rematch, he instead took a fight with Chris John in Indonesia for way less money and lost there, he's been rebuilding his career since that loss.

He fought two good boxers in between pacman and John.

Orlando Salido (one of his toughest fights and he won with ease) and Victor Polo (the unluckiest man in boxing)

But then he was offered a rematch with Pacquiao and turned it down, instead he went to Indonesia to fight Chris John and lost.

He was offered an immediate rematch with Pacquiao, but the money wasn't good. After that pac-man had 1 more fight and moved up to fight Morales and made an even bigger name for himself, while Marquez struggled to find a big fight.

Yeah, he turned it down, went to Indonesia and lost to Chris John, it's a miracle he managed to salvage his career.

He didn't really lose to Chris John AKA Sven Ottke.
