The Offiicial Limey deliousional thought/stroke off thread...

Limeys and other USA boxing haters. Please dump all your irrational, cling to any brit/euro fighter penis envy remarks in here. I'm tired of reading them. In the USA, we ball so hard at sports that we learn to give respect to the greats even if we hate them i.e. New England Patriots.

In the States, we have so many greats that it's gotten to the point we boo the greatest and hate them (Yankees, Patriots, Mayweather, Spurs, UCLA). It happens in every sport and will continue to happen because the competition is immense. The British fans have like 4 good fighters at any given time and back them completely whereas we have people here who HATE Mayweather, Roy, Hopkins, whoever was on top at the time. You would never seen Brits booing Calzaghe because he's their only guy. You would never seen Puerto Ricans booing Cotto because he's their only guy.

It doesn't mean Mayweather is boring if Americans boo him. It means he is the best bar none.

I don't hate the UK if you're referring to me. I love Lennox Lewis, but I think Calzaghe and Hatton were protected FOREVER. I'm glad they're finally stepping up now but won't be surprised to see Calzaghe beat by a 43 year old man. I definitely don't think he'll be destroyed as bad as Hatton.

You really overachieve for a nation of over 300 million......
A nation that has every advantage moneywise and facility wise too.
There are much smaller nations who put you to shame with nowhere near as many resources or pool of people.

I guess you've never heard of David Haye? Carlos Quintanna? Among others.
