Hopkins Risked Playing The Race Card Again

BERNARD HOPKINS has once again risked playing the race card ahead of Saturday night's showdown with Joe Calzaghe.

Hopkins, who recently declared he would "never lose to a white man", drew a parallel with basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird, saying: "You can look at Calzaghe's situation as someone who has been blown up more than the others.

"It reminds me of Larry Bird – great basketball player but did he get his notoriety based on how he could play, or that he could play more than the average guy of his colour could play?"

Were you living IN Germantown 30 some odd years ago? Did you KNOW the exact neighborhood Hopkins lived in years ago? Did you KNOW someone who knew of Hopkins back then personally? Do you KNOW that you decided to make this theory based on statistics that weren't even FROM the time Hopkins lived in Germantown?

He has never brought up skin color in any other fight, against trinidad he poked fun at the puerto ricans hyping the fight up and messing witht there flag. This fight is getting out of hands with this racism ****, its like Bernard Hopkins fears Calzaghe so much that he has to go so low and bring up Calzaghes skin color. He is trying to get a mental edge over Calzaghe but he is stil doing racism in the process, which is totallly uncalled for.
