How can BHOP be considered as a great when, he lost two fights to the overrated J Taylor? Lost his 1st pro fight? The best MW in the 90's was RJJ whom BHOP lost to via UD, and i believe BHOP would have lost to Toney if that had ever got signed.

And whom was he hyped up by? The same people in here who think B-Hop is going to destroy Calzone.

Lacy was only "hyped up" because you wouldn't recognise Calzaghe's annihilation of a decent fighter. "Calzaghe won huh?!... oh... something must be wrong with Lacy then..."
Gotta disagree dude, it was plain as day what limitations Lacy had and he was extremely overhyped, I think the fact that he just barely sc****d past Manfredo recently demonstrate it.

Anyone who knew a little bit about boxing and was being objective could have told you Joe would have destroyed Lacy because Lacy is a very limited brawler, whose boxing skills are virtually non-existant.

Yeah he lost to RJJ who happened to be the best fighter in the entire 90's. Joe is no RJJ. Joe picked Hopkins cause he tought he was old. Thats the only reason. Which will prove to be ******. RJJ called him out Chad Dawson called him out. Joe thought it would be a easier fight. Which was dumb. Matter of fact Roy would beat Joe now too. I don't understand how people who say they are boxing fans. Could think a man who stands straight up and drops his hands all the time beat Hopkins. I mean he drops his hands all the time. Look at any fight he has been in. If he throws all those punches and brings them from his waist Hopkins will punch him straight down the middle.

Good job Joe. You're ruining your own legacy by claiming this will be another one of your insignificant wins. I thought only his fans would be this ******.

Terry Marsh and Sven Ottke aren't.
Rocky Marciano is a legend? He beat Joe Louis right but Joe was very old and basically dragged from retirement into the ring by the tax men so the "good people" could have some sort of satisfaction seeing Marciano beat him. Joe had it terribly hard after he cleaned the rings of basically everyone they could find for like 13 years or more. He was never a racist like Hopkins yet the White Man treated him to misery. People only started loving Joe (Louis) when he was mental and a circus attraction, errhhiem i mean a Casino attraction.

History repeats itself, if you study boxing you will learn alot of things are a repeat and those that seem new are only part of a bigger cycle.

                  Wouldn't that make Calzaghe a C-side fighter??
