And Cotto could make more money fighting Hatton than anyone else besides Floyd or DLH. Trust me, he'd fight Hatton at 140 if need be.

Floyd would have no reason to go to 140, what is Hatton going to do not take the fight? Floyd is going to call the shots in the negotiations similar to the way Oscar did in "The World Awaits", and he has every right to.

There is NO WAY Cotto can make 140, did you just start watching him and not see his last few fights at that weight? Cotto looked dead, i remember him not even being to have a sip of water leading up to the Malanaggi weigh-in and Malanaggi taunting him.

Hatton would be confuse at the speed of Cotto and the size itself would overwhelm him. They shouldn't make this fight pay per view if it happened because it wouldn't last long or be competitive. Hatton should stay down at junior welterweight fighting guys that are his size. Every time he has moved up in weight, he has either looked horrible or been knocked out. Cotto TKO mid rounds.
Hatton I would hazzard a guess is always the smaller fighter when he gets in the ring

Some good points there Rod I agree, but people would be foolish to write Hatton of against cotto, hes not as good as a lot of peeps are making out, Cotto has only ever beat b grade fighters at best and shane Mosley.
Hatton got beat against Floyd but he put up a better show than peeps on here give him credit for, theres no disgrace in getting beat of the man who's so far better than anyone else it's unreal

Tyszu was smaller than Hatton, Castillo was smaller than Hatton, ect. The style that Hatton has is too overwhelm his opponents by bullying them around the ring and he doesn't have the physical strength to get away with that with Cotto. He will be the one thats pushed back and muscled around the ring and wore down with Hard body shots. Think about it, every time he has fought a bigger opponent at a higher weight, he has looked horrible and the difference in size was apparent. Cotto would be too much.

He's fought Luis collazo who is a southpaw and miles bigger than Hatton, yet Hatton beat him and had the power to knock him over. He aslo took that fight at short notice. Not many other peeps go up in weight and go for a title at their 1st attemp in the champions back yard and win. Mayweather is a different matter all together, he is the best fighter on the planet, was fighting in his home town and is in his absolute prime.
Hatton does not mind a war which is what it would be against cotto, in fact that would play into his hands, what he does not need is too be fighting far bigger southpaws or someone like Floyd who could hit him as hard, accurate and as many times as he did .
What champions has cotto ever fought like hatton, absolutely none. He's never ever fought a proper chmpion like Hatton who was in his prime
