$$$$ that he cant make with anyone currently at 140. If hes talking about a fight with Floyd again, hes definately thinking about 147 again. Thinking Hatton has a chance against Cotto or Floyd is the reason why Hatton is a lucky guy. I say lucky because he has dilusional fans like that, and with them will continue to make big money.

A fight with Floyd would not neccesarily be at 147. Floyd can easily make 140 and would get more credit this time at that weight.

And Cotto could make more money fighting Hatton than anyone else besides Floyd or DLH. Trust me, he'd fight Hatton at 140 if need be.

Ricky Hatton can't hang at 147 as proven by Luis Collazo.

Now Cotto has none of them qualitys, yes he is powerful and strong but urango was strong and KT was powerful.
If think the fact that Cotto is not much bigger in height and reach than Hatton will play a big part.
I would not say ricky would win, it's a pick em fight because i think Ricky has the nous and power to hurt cotto, hes a better fighter than a lot of peeps give him credit for
But its the fight i have wanted to see for a long time
Youve got to read around the form , Urango is a C grade fighter lets be honest and he dont punch as hard as Cotto ,,, Collazo is a light puncher and was made to look ordinary by Mosley and he had Ricky on ***** street ,, Williams beat Margo both huge welters and Quintana beats Williams , Cotto destroys Quintana , beats Mosely who is very strong and one of the best stylistic boxers in the business ,,, Cotto is way to versatile for Hatton and too big with to much firepower , I mean Floyd was stronger than Hatton and Ricky was the fittest strongest he has ever been , his words ,, I cant see this fight ever happening anyway but after Cotto beats Margo if this fight took place it would be a total mismatch .

Hatton would be a tune-up for Cotto, Hatton is way overrated.

Hatton gets criticised on these boards far too much. The only fighter he has ever lost to is Floyd Mayweather, the best boxer on the planet!

Based on Hatton's evident struggles at 147, where he simply finds it hard to cope with the bigger man, I say he loses to Cotto, but I think as far as effectiveness as boxers as go, they are quite evenly matched.

Hatton is a better pressure fighter than Cotto, cuts of the ring quicker and is much more adept at finding and coming in from angles. Cotto is actually very predictable in this regard. Cotto is the superior outside boxer though, he has a genuinely effective jab and seems to be constantly improving his repertoire.

Cotto wins by a brutal beating. Since Hatton is no Willie Pep, he will be in front of Cotto all night, meaning He will eat punches all night.

I just see alot of improvement in Cotto since his 140 lb days. He's boxing better, makes better use of his jab and his speed is vastly improved.

I would not want to see this fight at all, a step backwards in my opinion for Cotto.

If Cotto gets by Margarito, whats the next fight for him to close out the yr.

Hatton looks dominate against fighters that are smaller than he is so he could muscle them around the ring and bully them. Cotto is bigger and stronger than Hatton with a bigger punch and better defense. He could not only out box Hatton, but he could bring the fight to him an wear him down with his hard body shots, which Hatton are vulnerable to. Hatton would be confuse at the speed of Cotto and the size itself would overwhelm him. They shouldn't make this fight pay per view if it happened because it wouldn't last long or be competitive. Hatton should stay down at junior welterweight fighting guys that are his size. Every time he has moved up in weight, he has either looked horrible or been knocked out. Cotto TKO mid rounds.
