I wish Calzaghe would stop coming out with these quips.

I think people give hopkins too much credit when they say he did it deliberately. The guys a great boxer, accomplished a lot, but ultimately he's pretty dam thick
This could be likely as well. I just think given his past comments and antics in promotion for his fights, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. But it is true, and if what he said was his legit feelings I can't say I'd expect any less from an ex-convict from Philly. I've known a few of those myself, and they're pretty rough around the edges.

The true nature of his comment will probably never be known.

whatever it's better than saying the boring **** like

"Hopkins is a great opponent, he will give a stern test"

      **** that.

Worst comes to worst, I'm sure Joe would rather get embarrassed than have people calling him a boring ****.

Well that's the opposite end of the spectrum, might be refreshing once in a while.

Calzaghe should trash talk after the fight, that's where it's at.

I've always thought this too. **** talking game before a fight, you might get your ass beat and look like a total tool. Wait til the post fight interview and instead of being like "I respect (fighter) he's a great Champion" and all that boring ****, come out with "I hate that mother****er! I told y'all I was going to murder the *****! Get him out of the ****ing ring before I do it again!"

It would make things so much funnier.

Yeah... that shows alot of courage. Boxing is about bravado dude. After the fight you're supposed to compliment the other fighter. There's a code.

LOL. That would be funny as ****.

But super disrespectful. Trash talking can be palmed off under the pretence of selling a fight.

Though at the time I wish Lennox was more scathing of Tyson after that fight. Tyson went to town on him before the fight.

                  Totally agree with you.

They need to turn it around, instead of trash talking before the fight, save it til after.

I think it's the whole boxers trying to hype it though.

Woods Tarver was a poor man's Hatton Mayweather.

Courage is beating him in the first place in my opinion pal, and not chatting a load of bollocks until you've proven it.
