I wish Calzaghe would stop coming out with these quips.

They really don't suit him, and I think he's underestimating Hopkins.

He's just setting himself up for a bigger embarrassment if he loses.

I think he's been suckered into the whole American media, I put it down to lack of experience, he hasn't had a big fight in the states.

Before anyone Starts I'm British and want Calzaghe to win.

Everyday there is a new thread or a quote in the paper. Calzaghe pipe down!

I think Hopkins has insulted Calzaghe more times in the last few months than he has ever been insulted.

From the "white boy" crap to the "slapper" accusations.

You're supposed to trash talk... invective, especially racial invective has roots as deep as boxing's origin. That's why boxing has always been considered an ethnic sport. That's part of what makes it fun. I don't think there's anything wrong with the trash talk.

Anyone who took that "white boy" comment needs a cold dose of reality. I'm white as can be and even I knew what Hops was trying to do with that angle. All you need to do to figure out his motivations is look to the past, namely him promoting his own fights.

But I think the comment worked, Calzaghe repeatedly denies the comment having affected him, yet he's the one every other day talking about how old Bernard is, how he'll need a respirator to fight him, disrespecting his legacy, and all that jazz.

            Hopkins 1 Calzaghe 0.

dude your wrong. hopkins said that out of pure anger/frustration and embarassment when he was unable to win the public row with calzaghe. instead of turning away graciously he had to come back with a racist slur to get some credibility back (which backfired). I think people give hopkins too much credit when they say he did it deliberately. The guys a great boxer, accomplished a lot, but ultimately he's pretty dam thick
