The Bringer speaks the truth. Everyone here knows darn well that Taylor only won those 2 fights because of activity when it was clear to us all that B-Hop landed the the harder and more accurate blows. I also believe that the B-Hop vs Calzaghe will be more like the Taylor fight and the U.D might go to the wrong person again. I just hope B-Hop can be a bit more active.

No, but there is a certain history with judges favoring workrate over countering ability in recent years. I think counterpunching is a lost art to most judges these days, I realize that is a broad statement but there are examples to the benefit of my argument.

I just want the fight to unfold as it should, with no open favoring by judges or the HBO commentary crew. Both guys have too much at stake for the broadcast team to try and sway fans at home towards "their guy".

Sadly HBO has a serious reputation for nuthugging one fighter over another, see Hatton/Mayweather for a most recent example of this.

If I hadn't had eyes, I would've sworn Ricky Hatton was beating the starch off of Mayweather in there.

The Bringers right, Johnson got cheated I personally had Johnson winning 8 rounds because of he had the better defense and offense on saturday against Dawson.

Just look at the compubox stats for the Taylor fights, especially the first. Hopkins was railroaded so that HBO could make way for "the new star", and we all know how well that worked for them.

I'm not saying that Calzaghe will get a gift decision, he honestly could spank Hopkins all 12 rounds. His stamina is great, his workrate, his chin is amazing, his entire style is something I've never seen before and he truly is an amazing fighter.

I'm just hoping that whoever wins, we don't have to debate the outcome for the next 12 months. I'm sick of **** like that happening.

Povetkin over Eddie Chambers comes to mind.

Chambers took about 5 rounds off in that fight, but I agree. Chambers spanked him especially early on with countering ability, that was a clear example of a guy "working" his way to victory.

The straight right hand is Hops' bread and butter. Chris Eubank hit Joe with a lot of those in their fight, so I'm hoping Hopkins can do the same.

It sucks both of these guys are going to retire soon, with Bernard I can see it more with his advancing age and all but I'd love to see Calzaghe chase some all time records, though he seems uninterested in them.

It's going to suck when they are both gone, they don't make fighters like these guys that often.

I hope when Hopkins retires he will be treated with the same respect as he was when he retired back in 2006.
