Glen Johnson looked amazing against Dawson. I had it 115-113 for Johnson myself, but it should've been a draw. Johnson landed the more telling blows of the fight, had Chad in trouble multiple times, and I feel he was robbed, though he did take some of the middle rounds off, which may have been the ultimate factor in his loss.

I was screaming at the Television for Johnson to win the fight, everytime he hurt Dawson I was on my feet yelling. Amazing fight.

        Well>>

I had the fight 116-112 for JOHNSON!
I originally had 2 rounds EVEN! something I hate to do!
I replkayed the 2 rounds over and ended up 116-112.
        ALL 6 judges 3 official and 3 press had Dawson....so i dunno...
I remember that the #1 criterial is clean punches then effective AGRESSIVENESS! IE iif your going forward and pressing the action that is worth alot in a close fight. Punching moving forward is more effective than punching moving backwards, period. Glen had him hurt at least twice....
        i dunno...
watch the fight without sound.. score it and see what you come up with...
I always find it hard to score against the guy coming forward and landing more punches... punch stas would be nice! any link for them?

Press row judge #1 had it 114-114. The other five did score it for Dawson though.

A draw would have been fair.

I had it 115-113 for Dawson but I'm going to rewatch it and rescore it because some of those rounds could've gone either way. I was actually rooting for Johnson, the guy just can't get a break from the judges.

i remember years ago going to york hall and johnson was the stepping stone for an up and coming british fighter. cant remember his name tho now! but after about ten seconds you just new that this "journey man" Glen Johnson was a ****ing bad ass. he gave the upstart a proper beatdown. bad matchmaking as the british fighter never recovered mentally from it. this was i think at light middle aswell.

i thought the fight was a draw. but i also thought that overall Glen deserved the nod.

That post fight interview with Johnson was great and I agree with him....but not with this fight. He's really been robbed before and I understand where he's coming from but he should have spoken out like that long ago. He was NOT robbed Sat night....he was narrowly outpointed by the younger more skilled fighter....period.
I was betting on Johnson and pulling for him as a fan but I agree with Rae.
