Romanov is a natural lightweight and has a decent KO record so the fight seems like the natural progression. Depending on how he does there they could then consider a title fight towards the end of the year.

Romanov looked good against Thaxton but do u think he spends to much time tucked up behind his gloves ? i think Khan would pitter patter against the gloves all night long & win a decision like the St Clair fight

Romanov seems to static to me & a bit one paced ,like typical Euorpean

Romanov would be a good challenge but as you have suggested he has some obvious flaws which would likely make him cannon fodder for Khan's lightning combinations and only a catastrophic error from Khan would cost him the fight.

People can feel free to call Khan overprotected and criticise Frank Warren for not putting him in tougher fights but by far the best thing to do is build him up slowly so that when he is ready to fight for world titles he can give the best possible account of himself and hopefully mix at that level for years to come.

That's old news. Did you hear that he recently beat up Juan Diaz?

i agree ,did'nt realise the knockout % of his oponents over the coarse of his career it looks very poor when u access it IMO

but as u said the more time the better account he can give of himself ,PS cant wait for Guzman v Arthur
